Morning stroll to the Rose Greenhouse found new blooms coming soon. Roses are swelling , Astrantia is looking nice, Viburnum Shasta is one of my favorite fillers this time of the year. Ranunculus and Anemones coming strong. Miss V was my helper a couple days a go, posed for me with a big smile.

I will be making different spring dried wreath decor. Materials I will be using are Native Willows and Osier Dogwood that we grow for restoration projects and the rest of our dried flowers and wire.

We will always be committed to do our best to use our own plant materials, making more sustainable offerings.

We are now harvesting Tulips, still strong in Daffodils. Thank you to all of you that stopped by and bought flowers, you guys made my day.

I restocked the flowers and be ready with grab and go bouquets tomorrow for Easter festivities.

It’s that time of the year, we will be making wreaths and are open for preorders. We have 2 sizes one of 20” average for $30 for the DIY green and $45 for the decorated ones. The 26” average are $40 and $59 for the decorated ones.

Our wreaths are one of a kind cutting greens to order. The preordering system help us plan ahead and also not over harvest our trees, we like to keep it sustainable. This way we ensure the greens are fresh and should last throughout the holidays.

This year I planted Marigolds to harvest for Day of the dead celebration.

I moved from Mexico 20 years a go, I haven’t make an altar since then. Within a year My mexican family went to a series of lost, My Grampa, my Sister and my Uncle. This altar will celebrate their lives, and the other close family members.

I will share it and will displayed at the farm Wednesday the second.

Miss V help helped me harvest and took some pictures. She said Mom you look like the flower ladies in Mexico. Cempohualxochitl is the native name of Marigolds and the most significant flower of the celebration it represents the sun leading the way from the underworld to the living.
