We are based in the Washington D.C. A city full of life and centrally located to some of the most beautiful vineyards, manors and farms. As odd as it sounds, it's the perfect place for Eszi & Flor designs. Our services include but are not limited to centerpieces, bouquets, boutineers, corsages, head pieces and cake toppers, event design and much more! I love to meet with my clients over a cup of coffee or tea to talk about how I can have my expertise help their floral dreams come true.

This bouquet was one of my favorites to design. A petite, all white sweet pea bouquet with a slight cascade and some trailing Stephanotis to accent.

It was dainty, soft, classic, elegant and an overall beauty.

The last 6 weeks have been a wild ride. From carrying a small human to delivering one and watching him grow and thrive these past few weeks have been nothing short of incredible.
As I round out my maternity leave and start hitting weddings full force once more in August, I wanted to share a few of my favorite images from what seems to have been a million years ago yet, also yesterday. Thank you so very much for the sweetest of memories

Hey there friends! 👋 I am here. Still alive and kicking. I know I’ve been M.I.A. lately because well, after an insanely busy year, I needed it.
We are in the thick on booking season right now and inquiries are pouring in daily. It’s incredible to see how much we’ve grown over the past two years and the sheer volume of interest in working with us is nothing short of amazing. I am humbled and so grateful for each and everyone of you who have taken the time to complete our inquiry process. Thank you. 🙏
I’ve also been busy working on making our new house a home, which has been tons of fun. I also can’t wait to share with you what our new in-house studio space will look like! All the beautiful designs that will come out of that studio will be incredible. to see the blank canvas that’s the studio at the moment.
So, while I keep my head down and grind away, please know I am here and haven’t forgotten about you all. I’ll be posting more frequently in the next week or so but for now, I’ll head back to work on dozens of proposals and come back up for a bit of air soon.

And just like that, our wedding season has come to a close!! 🎉🎉🎉 While we still have weddings in December, we now get to rest up a bit before tackling those.
A gigantic shout out to the most amazing team anyone could EVER ask for. They have hung in there with me through all the October craziness. Working 14 - 16 hour days, working late into the night, working behind the scenes, taking time from their families to support me and this wild dream of mine and absolutely KILLING it. We did it guys!!! .mberly2114 .yen.i You guys are the real MVP’s! Now time for some well deserved relaxation.

The hardest part of creating something simple yet visually impactful is knowing when to 🛑‼️
As floral designers, we want to add ALL the flowers because we can’t get enough. I’m guilty. But restraining yourself so the flowers you’ve incorporated in the design shine is an art that’s acquired with time.
Anyone else struggle with this?! I know I have. Let me know in the comments below!

Our Story

Our floral designs cater to the dreamers, the wild spirited and those with a taste for natural beauty. I’m Shanda, owner and lead designer of Flor de Casa Designs. I opened my business in 2016, formerly known as Eszi & Flor. After almost two years of designing for weddings I have identified my ideal style of design and re-branded to better reflect my brand as Flor de Casa Designs.

Flor de Casa Designs in based in the Tyson’s Corner, VA area and services Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia. Booking for destination events is also available. The Washington D.C. metropolitan area is a city full of life and centrally located to some of the most beautiful vineyards, manors and farms. It is the perfect mix of city chic and outdoor romance for Flor de Casa to bloom.

We pride ourselves in only booking one wedding per weekend, which allows us the opportunity to let creativity flow to provide couples with a design that is all their own. From the first consultation to the visual design proposal, to signing the contract; we will create a partnership that we’ll enjoy for many years past the wedding day.
