My daughter, Lennon, is preforming in Scrooge the Musical at Richmond Community Theatre. There were 2 shows last weekend and 3 more this weekend.

Honestly, I struggled with photographing this dress rehearsal. Lighting is everything in photography and stage lighting is so different than lighting for portraits. It's colorful and dramatic and the actors are constantly moving in and out of the lighting. Some people on the stage are highlighted and others are in the shadows... Trying to get them in the best lighting without color casts, in focus and decent composition... that's tough. Here are a few of the images that I captured.

I'm honored to have captured Carolyn's family's love and connection once again! Two years ago, it was just Carolyn and her husband in my studio, but this time, her daughters and their partners joined in on the fun! We created unforgettable memories, snapping every possible family combination we could think of. From Carolyn and her daughters, to the sisters together, the loving couples, and individual portraits that shine with personality... It was a truly magical day, surrounded by the warmth and vibrancy of fall! Carolyn, thank you for trusting my studio again. I'm so grateful! This is Lauren's most fierce business like look and I LOVE it! That black and white image... I mean, what is not to love? The plum, her necklace, the hair, and against the gold background... she really shines here. Have I told you how much I enjoyed our session? She sure is fun to photograph and the camera LOVES her.
