Today is August 3rd! 💜🧸On this day, the team Mayday Concierge strive to give a little something back. It makes us a bit anxious but this year we are honored to donate 21 teddy bears to Tennessee Oncology, in hopes of cheering up some very deserving patients. The team was contracted to Senior Sit last night and as predicted our TN weather took a turn for the worse. The storm strengthened and we lost power but while keeping a level head, we followed the families emergency plan and took shelter in the safest place.

🌪A tornado swept over the community and touched down less than a mile from our location. Thankfully we were spared and made it safely through the storm. We are all grateful and continue to pray for those effected.

What Is a Senior Sitter?

An elderly companion or senior sitter is a non-medical caregiver that can be there whenever clients need them whether that's full-time or part-time,

Care can take place in a variety of settings such as senior living housing, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, etc., but most often takes place within a home setting.

However, senior sitters can only perform certain tasks that are not medically related or involve physical contact, so their roles are generally limited to providing basic supervision and companionship that can also include light duties or errands depending upon the agreement made with the caregiver.

In general, senior sitters are there to keep seniors company while their family or regular caregivers are away. They can also provide company to the senior while they are in the hospital recovering from a surgery or accident while loved ones go to work or tend to other business. 💜

In the early stages of launching Mayday Concierge it was important to come up with the perfect name, logo and color theme to represent our brand and it was a challenge. We had several ideas floating around until we settled on this concept. All these things have a powerful connection with the consumer, so it was crucial we got it right.

Our primary goal is to help clein'ts eliminate stress from their daily lifes. We can improve the quality of their lifestyle by helping take on some of the daily mundane task, so they can enjoy more leisure time.

The color purple is generally associated with royalty, luxury, nobility, power, and ambition. For us it's the combination of a couple of favorites. ❤+💙=💜

As for our use of Lavender, it's known to have calming properties that soothe, and reduce anxiety. That has been our objective since day 1! You may see our team out and about sharing a little lavender luv!
