Many of you may recognize this picture as the top portion of my logo. I've seen my logo hundreds of times...it's part of my branding - its on my website, page, Instagram page, business cards...it's everywhere! I know the font I use for the words, I know the shades of beige and black in the logo. But, I've never realized there were hearts in my logo!

I recently made a larger version of my logo to put on my showroom door. It required me to 'zoom in' on the details. It wasn't until I saw this larger version of my logo that I realized there were hearts in it. How cool is that?

It got to me to thinking - what else am I missing in life because I choose to zoom out? What other details of my own life or those of my friends and family am I overlooking? If I zoom in, what other details will I see? Will I see a friend in need who is trying to be strong, but just needs a shoulder to cry on? Will I see the twinkle in the eye of someone who just met the person they think is the 'one' (and is dying to talk to someone about it)? Who knows what I might be missing. The point is, we need to remember to zoom in every once in awhile.

Be in the moment
Dig a little deeper

You might be surprised with what you find! And even more importantly, you might make the difference in someone else's life.

Today is the day!!! We hope you are able to take a nice drive out to the country. Hopefully the rain will be over with by noon and we can enjoy a nice partly cloudy day! Regardless, our event is housed indoors, so even if it sprinkling, be sure to stop by. We have our door mat all ready to welcome you. Stop by and see our showroom, get some refreshments and visit our vendor fair. 😀

Our next spotlight vendor is Small Town Creations! I've know Kathie for years and have loved seeing her business flourish. She started doing paint parties out of her home, then she bought a building in Historic Downtown Lincoln, IL and not only continued her paint parties there, but offered engraving, gifts, and coffee beans as well. And now she has renovated the entire first floor to house her business! Kathie has started offering 'trucker' hats which are all the rage now with the bridal/bachelorette parties. She will be customizing these hats on site during our Open House on June 8th, so you won't want to miss out!

If you haven't been to Lincoln, Il you must plan a day trip there to see all this small town has to offer.

We are finalizing the list of vendors attending our Open House on June 8th. And we are so excited to start sharing who those vendors are. Our first featured vendor is The Peppered Pig. Betsy and Veronica make the most delicious bakery items and they've recently expanded their offerings to include quiches, soups, sandwiches and more! We will be featuring their signature desserts at our Open House. Come check it out and taste their delectable treats!

Many brides are moving away from the traditional wedding cake. Come taste some different dessert options on June 8th! And give them a 'follow' if you haven't already.

It's been awhile sine we updated you on the pole barn. It's been a long sweaty day of drywall mudding. But, the HVAC is in! We are getting close.

So, this will be the last update until our open house. Look for details on that coming soon! The public is invited to come see the new pole barn and check out the end results!
