Close your eyes for a moment and imagine a butterfly. My money says the fluttering insect you’re envisioning has black-veined, reddish-orange wings outlined with white specks — the iconic attributes of our beloved, American, monarch butterfly.

Distinguished gentleman. Chico loves being on the farm. He is 13 1/2 years old. He can’t go on long walks anymore so we bring him to the farm. He is happy and loves being outside. 😊

Just thought my peeps should know my apprenticeship has started off to a great start. It has got me thinking about how much happier I am this year. Considering it’s Mental Health Awareness month let me touch on my own pov and perhaps you can find this reliable.

I have struggled for many years with my own mental health and the last few years I was definitely in some kind of depressive episode. The reason I share this is because I’ve tried everything from self medicating to prescription meds, super clean eating and sobriety etc. you name it I’ve tried it to combat my brain. I’m not knocking anything that would help you specifically but I am here the absolutely best thing I have done is physical activity. Nothing beats or helps as drastically. Even a 10 min walk outside helps to clear your mind. Life is hard enough. Do what you can to be a better you. That’s something money can’t buy you. Love, grace, compassion even your sadness can make you a better you. 💚🙏🏽 work in progress 🌱🌱

The wind calmed down so we got outside to start the clean up of the Pollinator Garden of the Hills at Standley Lake park! It’s adjacent to the farm and we’ve help take care of it for four years.

We started our seeds! Foxglove & lisianthus, close to 1k seeds! 🌱🌱Both have a super long growing period hence got to start early. We did this by hand and it feels super good to get my hands in soil.

We might not have a traditional space nor greenhouse yet we are making the best of it and utilizing what we have our living room to start growing 1600 baby flowers! Just have to set up 2 more metal shelves and attach grow lights and we will be ready to bring forth life!
