Kaylyn was so sweet, easy going, and FUN!
We met her on her back porch and chatted about what the vision was, what the feeling was going to be, talked tables, tents, hanging goodies and it all really just kind of came together easily.
It was a beautiful September day, Sea Hear Now was happening down the shore towns away and you could hear the faint echos of crowds cheering… almost as if they were in attendance themselves!
Color blocked centerpieces on petite rounds were used for a semi cocktail-style dinner (passed apps and dance breaks under the tent were had!)
A clear top tent adorned in smilax lined the driveway, colorful fabric garden lanterns added a whimsical welcome to guests upon arrival.
The dance tent was more of the funky space where we installed tiny wired bits of dyed plumosa and carnation garlands!
The day was full of smiles, ladders and sweaty hugs. Thanks for having us guys we loved every second ⚡️

Longer tables FTW.
Setting Jillian and Alex’s table with the most epic sunset in the background was SO dreamy. The sound of subtle waves crashing underneath your feet, the smell of crisp autumn air, the soft glow of candlelight and the most perfect fluffy white clouds (blooms) as far as the eyes could see.
If you can spring for a printed linen of your tables (or even one) DO IT!

When I came to strike and was out there in the dark capturing centerpieces amidst piles of Italian cookies in party mode I knew I was gonna be in love with images!
And to add to all the fun my girl of came through with the dyed shades of my dreams for this wild dance floor moment we dreamt up.
Fun times. Giddy for more moments like this on the horizon!

There are certain places you are drawn to immediately...
Foxfire had been a place I quietly pined over for years, never imagining I’d get to actually work there one day.
Then to my pleasant surprise a dear friend shared her venue with me and I just about fell over. Meg, thank you SO much for bringing us along for the ride!!!!
To say this whole experience was nothing short of a dream would be totally the truth.
The weather, the smells and sounds of massive bonfires, the wildflower fields, pulling insane buckets of local flowers into the forest for ceremony, I could go on… it was just a delight for the senses.
Having my bestie photog girl lodging in the flower cabin alongside my other fave ladies, sipping wine hashing over all the beauty man oh man, I’m a lucky girl ✨

A fresh start to the year.
A time for more planning.
A time for more organizing.
…but yet for “less”.
I feel like we all do our annual purging and de-cluttering in January. We do our reorganizing and our prioritizing.
I thoroughly enjoy this process.
It’s also the time of year I like to reach out to my fave fellow creatives and dig into brain child ideas. The ones where we can get weird and play.
This shoot came to us during the off season last year and man was it fun!
Tables that felt stripped down and simplistic but still totally chic with a fresh effortless feel.

Collected wooden bowls, thrifted porcelain trays, a newly refurbished airstream for guests to explore, the occasional taxidermy critter.
Cocktail hour terrariums filled with nature settings, complete with live monarchs! Guests walked into the field at sunset for photos and beers, man it was good.
I can’t believe it’s been seven whole years. Time really does fly!

The one day a year where I shamelessly overshare MY wedding.
A crisp October day in Northern California, a clear top tent on the delta, dahlia season, apple season, friends and family…
So thankful for my mom she totally tackled SO many tiny details, like salt and pepper shakers that were aesthetically pleasing and vintage collected butter dishes that wouldn’t ruin table shots. So so many little things.
