Meet Kalista and Matt - they met at a Southside Johnny & show, got engaged at the Pony, now married, and parents to a 2-year old Jukes fan. Bob, her father and Asbury Jukes Super Fan since 1977, recently shared his family “pony tale” with us 🖤 While we have been celebrating our 50th Anniversary, Bob has been reminiscing about the years he and his family have attended the Juke’s shows. Over the years, Bob and his wife have taken their - now grown - children to shows and they have also become super fans. In 2016 Kalista met another fan, Matt - standing by their spot at the Summer Stage. They met, hit it off, but never exchanged numbers. Fast forward one year later, they are all back at the Summer Stage for standing in the same spot, run into each other again and hit it off, but this time exchanged numbers. The rest as they say, is Pony history, sealing the deal one year later with a proposal at the Pony!

This week in Pony history ⭐️ Memorial Day Weekend on May 30, 1976 ⭐️ It was the Southside Johnny @asburyjukes record release party for “I Don’t Want to Go Home” and the first live concert radio broadcast in the history of Asbury Park, broadcasting across nine stations 🎶 There were special appearances by Bruce Springsteen, Ronnie Spector, Lee Dorsey, Richard Neer, Little Steven, Max Weinberg, Clarence Clemons and many more. Some say it was the most important show in Pony history, putting the Pony on the map. 🎥 This vintage clip from that storied night at the Pony shares the excitement from music industry experts and fans as well as the energy in the air with the pending launch of summer season.
