A few days ago I mentioned that I am planning a party for my almost 2-year-olds 🥳 . I've made a to-do list (see the post from July 10th) and since then I've been scouting out locations 🎡🎠 and trying to decide the best ⏰
Location: I am a big fan of going to a bounce house and letting kids run around until they are tired but knowing that we are STILL in the middle of a pandemic I think this year we will go for an outside venue. Park or home (backyard) party it is! *🏃🏽♀️ to Amazon.com to add 🕷 🐜 spray, kids size 😷 , and sunblock to my cart*
Time: I am a believer in planning kid's parties around lunch! Parents have so much to do already and sometimes getting to the party is a job within itself so if I can handle lunch for the little party-goers, I will do it every time. However, the big 🐘 in the room is NAP TIME! No one wants to be at a party with overly tired kids. It's not fun for a parent or child. I find the sweet spot for a party (for my 🏠 ) is 10 am. Allowing the party participants to play hard for about an hour and a half, have food and 🎂 and then everyone heads 🏡 . Note, at this age, I am not a big fan of opening gifts in front of everyone. I find the other children either get bored easily or upset because they didn't get one of whatever is being opened. The other time that has worked well when we have parties for our children is 2:30/3 pm to 4:30/5 pm. That’s all for now, but I’m in your preferences for times and locations when planning a party for children. Let me know in the comments👇🏾

Happy Saturday! So today I decided to start planning my baby boys' 2nd birthday party (eek 😳 my baby is almost TWO)! And, since one of the things I'm passionate about is providing tips for you to plan things at home. I’ve decided to take you along for this journey (this could be fun 🙂👍🏽)!
Although my baby's birthday isn’t until August 23rd, there are lots of things to do — so I am starting now. First thing— make a ‘to-do list!
Some of the things on my to-do list are:
• Pick a location and time 🕰
• Decide a theme 🎉
• Make guest list 👦🏾👦🏻👧🏾👧🏼🧒🏾🧒🏼
• Food & treat bags 🍔
• Entertainment 🤡
• Hire a day of the party coordinator
• Order kid-size mask!! 😷
Over the next few days, I will go over each of these items in detail. Stay tuned.
