Just having a little fun today freestyling against this Krit track. This needle is at the end of its life and I'm anxiously awaiting a new one en route for the next show. I find that scratching against a spoken word influenced vocal track like this makes me think of old jazz/beat poets and Sax players accompanying their performance. In that way I kinda dig it. 👽💚
Little clip of some scratch practice last night. I plan on making more videos like this in the future, the goal being to create videos that really showcase the full performance. I want you to be able to see everything I'm doing on the decks, instruments and Midi tools, and in the programs.

I'm so burnt out by this bs industry, algorithms, platforms made to maximize profit and monetize previously uninhibited communications..........we live in a hell world. As a producer I often catch myself just "doing too much". I spent about a day building this really elaborate virtual instrument with Reason's cabling system, multiple devices, the whole 9. After a week of tweaking and manipulating it to process my drums in a way I liked....I just couldn't dial it in like I wanted, so it's back to zero. As an artist, I find the ability to scrap something when it's not working and re-direct my creative energies is one of my best skills....
Jumped back into drum processing today and already the results are wayyyy closer to what I had in mind, I just simplified fx chain.
