Local love alert! 💛 Heather and Nate, two Asheville locals, turned their elopement into a dreamy staycation at a beautiful farm in Haywood County. These two brought all the sweet vibes with them, and we couldn’t be more smitten with their energy, their love, and their gorgeous color scheme. 🌿✨

And we can’t forget their adorable dog, Brin, who clearly steals the show and their hearts every day. 🐾 This little family is as real, lovely, and down-to-earth as it gets, and we couldn’t be more honored to have been part of their special day. Cheers to these two (and Brin!) for keeping it local and oh-so-sweet!

Meet Amber and Christopher, a couple whose journey intertwines with the threads of family history, binding them together in a love that mirrors the timeless bond of Amber’s grandparents.

As Amber fondly recalls, her grandparents exchanged vows on April 1st, 1956—a date etched in the annals of family lore.

In honor of this, Amber and Christopher chose to elope on April 1st, 2024. The decision to elope amidst the scenic beauty of the Asheville area held a deep significance—a tribute to Amber’s grandmother, whose college days in Brevard and honeymoon adventures formed the backdrop of cherished memories.

Ashley & Frank’s romantic waterfall elopement contains the kind of in-the-moment relaxation that makes for the best day.

But their backstory as two backpacking, avid lovers of nature who found each other in this vast world stands out just as much!

Frank recalls “Our elopement goal was to make the day as relaxed as possible with the main focus on being present for one another. While we both can be very detail oriented, our most relaxed adventures together have always been focused on the here-and-now with very little adherence to any schedule. So, if things stray from the wedding day plan, we’ll be happy as long as we’re together.“

For these two, the best memories from their relationship have been made through experiencing the beauty of nature together. In fact, Frank says “Ashley’s Bumble profile full of “hiker trash” photos from her recent adventures on the Appalachian Trail had Frank hooked at first swipe” as his own matching adventure photos on his profile made Ashley think maybe he could keep up!

What’s even more wild is that their first camping trip / hike they ever went on together was 23 minutes away from their chosen elopement waterfall spot!

As Frank said “Regardless of the backdrop, we want our shared love of the outdoors to serve as the backdrop to our love story—just as it always has.”

In the world of weddings, plans can change faster than you can say "I do." For Terri and Steve, the journey to their dream wedding was filled with twists and turns that ultimately led them down a path they never expected – eloping in the breathtaking landscapes of Asheville with us at Elope Outdoors.

In today's blog we rewind to where it all began as Terri tells the story of why they decided to elope instead of the traditional wedding they had in mind!

Here's a quick share from the blog: Terri and Steve initially envisioned a traditional wedding with around 40 guests. As they delved deeper into the planning process, they were met with overwhelming stress and daunting price tags. Terri recalls "Suddenly, we had all these decisions and choices and it wasn't fun anymore. It was stressful."

Ultimately, the decision to elope brought a wave of relief for Terri and Steve, as they could focus solely on each other and the love they shared. With the help of Cassie and our team at Elope Outdoors, every aspect of their elopement – from choosing the perfect location to organizing flowers and cake – fell seamlessly into place.

Cassie was quick to respond and offered suggestions on the best options for a winter wedding including our immediate families. Cassie helped us secure Chestnut Ridge for our ceremony (we were worried about weather mid-Jan) and helped us plan all of the details — including finding our officiant, Rodney, with just a few weeks before our wedding. Cassie even provided recommendations for my hair and I absolutely LOVED the way it came out AnaRie is fantastic).
