My heart is shattered by the stories and GoFundMe pages set up for individuals and families being swept away in the path of Hurricane Helene. I don't have words to process this type of loss. I am barely processing my grief from the devastation of such a vast area encompassing five states, dozens of counties, and countless businesses.

If you have it in your heart, no matter what amount, please help these families with a donation and your thoughts and prayers.

If nothing else, please take a brief moment to acknowledge their life and journey by saying their names, Alison, Knox, Felix, and Lucas. Welcome to “On the Rucks” at 3 Von Ruck Court, Asheville, North Carolina!

If you have found my home on VRBO or Airbnb, welcome! I have been renting it to several hundred wonderful visitors since 2009, before either of those rental sites existed. I have made friends with many of my guests, several of whom have made Asheville their permanent residence after staying in my home. To this day, most of my tenants book through me directly and forgo the additional fees of the sites listed above.

I’m delighted to welcome you to my home and hope that it will serve as a wonderful place from where you can discover the splendors of Asheville. Whether this is your first or your fiftieth time, Asheville always has something exciting and fresh to offer.
