Running into Christmas week like ✨

The Big Gay Wedding yesterday was a whole side of everything with a sprinkle of ✨Did that Ish✨ It was love that drove across county lines to say ‘I Do’. Love that had waited long enough and love that didn’t need a second thought. Congratulations to our gorgeous couples!!! They brought the looks and coordination. (These photos do not do them justice, trust)

A little before and after.
I have to brag... i work with some of the most amazing women. These babes are badass... 2 months after the storm we’ve moved everything, washed everything by hand, scraped out fish ponds, pressure washed, lifted, swept, vacuumed, mopped, swept again, tore down, built, organized, bought, laughed, cried, froze, sweated, & smelled.

I do every day because of them. To those that make work sooooo fuuunnn....y. We have the most amazing owners who are right there with us. You know who you are.

Today has been rough ya’ll. The weight of this election feels overwhelming, and it’s okay. It’s okay to feel sad, angry, or even hopeless.

Haiku stands with you. We believe in the power of love, community and support, (we’re gonna need it over these next four years).

Hello friends,
It has been difficult to jump on here and make any sort of statement.

I moved to Asheville for the first time (I've lived here 3 different times) in 1998. I've seen our city go through many changes & this by far is a change we will never forget.

Like so many, this beautiful mountain town & and its surrounding areas kept calling me back. I know there are many people around the world who know that feeling that is so deep inside.

The people of Western North Carolina are kind, creative, & courageous. We will rebuild better than ever. I hope you all will answer that voice... the spirit inside that draws so many of you to come and visit us. We are here for you, and thank you for being here for us.

It is hard to convey in the photos & videos of what is really happening here.

I want all of you to know that Haiku was so fortunate & our buildings & garden survived. We will renovate ourselves to be even more beautiful.

This is our lone surviving fish. Meet Helene. She will have more friends in the future.

Thank you to all that have checked on us... our Haiku crew are all safe and sound. We will be hard at work over the next few months to rebuild.

Our hearts go out to all that have lost so much.
