We are thrilled to announce the date of our upcoming annual women's Valkyrie Marathon, August 24th!
We will be using IATF's Premier rule format, this will be a 6 week - 20 match season, condensed into one day!

Practice kicks off at 9:30am and matches will start at 10am.
This event is open to ALL, beginners and experienced folks alike, coaching and equipment will be provided to all who need it.

We are equally excited to announce that we will also be hosting a skills tournament event the night prior that is open to all.

Tickets and details for the marathon are live on our website, and information regarding the skills will follow soon after. We anticipate both to fill up quickly. The skills event will be held on August 23rd and the marathon following the day after.

We will now be hosting 4 axe throwing leagues this upcoming season, each league is 6 weeks long!!

📆 Starting June 23rd -
Is our fun casual Sunday brunch league!
Every Sunday afternoon, 1:00pm-3:00pm for 6 weeks. First 5 weeks compete in the standard IATF Premier round robin game format with 20 matches played and the 6th week being a double elimination playoff.
Practice starts at 12pm for 1 hour, and matches will take place from 1-3pm;
stick around afterwards for an additional hour of practice, fun games & skills!

📆 Monday June 24th, kicks off our inaugural Monday Berserker Big Axe league! This will be a 6 week recreational league and will be using IATF'S standard ruleset. Practice starts at 530pm for 30 minutes, and matches will take place from 6-8pm; stick around afterwards for additional practice and skills!! 🪓
20 matches will be played in the span of 5 weeks with a double elimination playoff on the 6th week.

📆 Starting Tuesday, Jun 25, we will be hosting Asheville's first ever YOUTH LEAGUE every Tuesday for 6 weeks from 4-7pm. 👫 Complimentary practice starts at 4pm for one hour, and matches will take place from 5-7pm; stick around afterwards for additional practice and coaching!! No experience or equipment is necessary. We will train and provide all the materials needed for every child to have an AXEceptional time! 20 matches will be played in the span of 5 weeks with the 6th week featuring a double elimination playoff.

📆 Wednesday, June 25th, is our more competitive league open to all. Practice starts at 5pm for 1 hour, and matches will take place from 6-8pm; stick around afterwards for an additional hour of practice and skills!! Our Wednesday League will throw 28 matches in 5 weeks with a double elimination playoff on the 6th week.

After a very long and fulfilling day, we get to recap everyone's hard work and highlights getting through Playoffs. Amazing throwing from all our league members and some very exciting firsts for a lot of them.

Josh Fitzhenry was voted our Most Improved this season and Stephanie Milani was voted our MVP!!

And after 14-straight rounds of throwing lights out over two finals matches, Rachel Lorae Miller took home the W!

Our competitive leagues will pick back up with Season 3 starting the week of June 23rd! We will now have leagues running Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday!

We realized it's rude not to introduce ourselves... so let's back up, and start from the beginning.

Hi! We're the Millers and the owners of Valhalla. You most likely will have already met us if you've walked through our doors, maybe you haven't yet. And lets fix that! The heart of our business is community and no better way to show that, than a simple hello. 👋

Shane is our handy man and Jack of all trades who runs the operation on the daily, he is always quick with a smile and loves to teach, just be cautious of his dad jokes (they're terrible)! 😅

Rachel is the playful queen bee of this business, most likely to be found on the weekend here at Valhalla, otherwise she is happily employed with Asheville City Schools and works with elementary age Mon-Fri. 👩‍🏫

We have 2 incredible children who may be seen from time to time, hanging out and challenging anyone to a game of Super Smash or a round of Air hockey. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 🏒 🎮

Though we are the new kids on the block, we have been around axe throwing for just shy of a decade. We have operated & owned axe throwing venues for years, have been coaches and mentors all across the country for axe throwing venue owners. We have thrown and continue to throw on a competive & professional level (fun fact, we even met at the World's Championship axe throwing event in Canada).
