We are botanical boutique specializing in botanical living. We provide beautifully curated floral for weddings and everyday, house plants, living walls, and sweet gifts for the urban dweller. Inside of flora we feature forage, a coffee bar with a botanical twist. We are working hard to create an eaterhal get away right in the heart of West Asheville. Come and enjoy a delicious pour over and made from scratch treats while surrounded by plants and blooms.

We’ve been thinking about how wonderful the folks in these mountains are. How proud we are to call this community home. There are so many out there that are going above and beyond to help take care of their family, friends, neighbors, community and even strangers. This year we are bringing back an idea we started years ago.

We are asking you all to nominate someone you feel deserves a little something and tell us why. Beginning Wednesday January 15th, we will pick someone new each week and deliver flowers to remind them of how wonderful they are.

Happy Birthday to the Flora Fix it Man! For 25 years I have had the joy of celebrating this man. Patrick allows me the space to be the creative visionary I love to be and is there to support me every step of the way. From starting a family, to starting a flower shop, to building a homestead, Patrick makes my dreams come true. I so am grateful for the life we co-create.

My goodness….
So much has happened since September 26th when the flooding began and life in these mountains changed. It’s impossible to remember it all- each moment was so jam packed. Perhaps I will share more about the early days after Helene another time.

Today, I’m sharing a little glimmer created by our community. reached out to me as a friend and fellow creative about an idea she and neighbor had about creating an arbor to symbolize a place of remembrance and community in the spot where so many came to find connection to loved ones and outside world. With the reception so spotty no one knew the extent of damage in these sacred mountains and to our community and neighboring mountain towns.

For years I’ve dreamt of making moon gates of branches through out our forests at the Flora farmerty. It became clear that I wanted to create a moongate structure of fallen branches. They say we’ve lost 40% of our trees. 💔 We can feel the devastation in our bones. It’s everywhere!

It was an honor to be part of this project with the community that has long supported our little shop- so many faces I recognized. Listening to our neighbors remember their experiences in that spot, I felt connected. Personally, I’ve been traveling and working with other florists to cover rent and over head; I’ve been separated from family, friends and our community. This project filled my cup. I am so proud of the people in these beautiful mountains and grateful to call this place home.
