HEY YALL - UPDATE DAY 26. We will try to be better at updating as things are moving quickly all the time. Im humbled by the way jumped in to help with communication and not letting us fall apart a few weeks ago. I’m so grateful for my team (.hollar and ) for stepping up. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far and for all the incredible love and support from all of you - ❤️ We have a long path ahead of us, but only if we stick together.

PLEASE CONSIDER HOW YOU APPROACH VENDORS IN WNC RIGHT NOW. The wedding industry is yet again in crisis - many of you don’t know that we all had to survive COVID which wrecked havoc on our wedding industry just a few years ago. Many of us are still dealing with the financial hardship of 2020-2021. Please know your event isn’t the only one asking for refunds and we wouldn’t be able to operate our businesses if you all ask for refunds. Be considerate and patient. Treat us like humans that have families that are surviving the worst natural disaster in our mountains to date.

Please do not file disputes- it is devastating to small businesses.
When you file, the money is immediately withdrawn from the business account, and the resolution often takes months. After submitting our evidence, the contract copy/terms signed by the client, and email thread pdf copies, it can take up to 90 days to get it back via countering the dispute. In the meantime, it’s much like kicking someone while they’re down and honestly harming a devastated community.

We’ve got families to feed, and experiencing this Act of God was no one’s fault. 50/50 refund, free postponements, city changes/relocation with little to no travel fees, holiday parties, intimate elopements— we will do everything that we can to make things right.

Please consider the trickle down effects of your actions.

THANK YOU EVERYONE. Im so grateful and touched by the outpouring messages and donation effort! We are overwhelmed with the outpouring offers and love, but honestly being IN this is so much harder than you can imagine. Everything changes everyday. Crazy information and misinformation. I receive about 40 DMs a day on my business account and more on my personal account - not to mention how many texts come in during the day. Please watch my stories as I probably won’t be able to check DM’s everyday as I don’t have internet access or consistent power access still. XOXO big shout out to for making these slides and gathering all this information to make things easier on us here in Madison county.
