The Thomas Wolfe Auditorium lobby offers a place for patrons to congregate and socialize while enjoying something to eat or drink from the concessions stand. The auditorium is the annual home of the Asheville Symphony Orchestra. The auditorium has hosted acts such as: BB King, Willie Nelson and Jerry Seinfeld.

WNC has experienced significant losses from Helene. Enza HOME Furnishings & Mattress Gallery, in collaboration with Harrah’s Cherokee Center - Asheville, The Orange Peel, MLILY Mattress and Healthy Sleep, is giving away over 800 new mattresses and 1,200 sheet sets to assist those affected.

There are 2 ways to participate:
1. Visit Enza Home Furnishings & Mattress Gallery at 25 Long Shoals Rd. in Arden beginning at 10am this Saturday. Mattresses and sheet sets will be available while supplies last.

2. Two, there will be a second giveaway location at the Harrah’s Cherokee Center - Asheville beginning at 10:00 am this Saturday exclusively for community members who pre-register via this form to request mattresses. Due to the limited inventory, only pre-registered people will be eligible for mattresses at this location. If you are a community organization, non-profit, or faith-based organization picking up the mattresses in bulk, other pick-up arrangements can be made.

Explore Asheville and Harrah’s Cherokee Center – Explore Asheville invites you, your friends, family, and colleagues to the official Concert for Carolina Community Viewing, taking place October 26 at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium. Doors open at 4pm, and the live stream concert starts at 5pm. Admission is free, but registration is required. Reserve your spot by registering here for free.

The live concert may be sold out, but we are bringing the experience to you! Join us for a powerful evening of community, connection, and music, including a star-studded lineup of artists coming together to support the communities affected by the devastation of Hurricane Helene. A few local restaurants will be providing small bites from 5-7pm, and artists affected by Helene will be vending their art during the show.

Luke Combs, Eric Church, Billy Strings, James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban, Bailey Zimmerman and more will headline the “Concert for Carolina,” a special benefit show presented by Explore Asheville and the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority. One hundred percent of the proceeds, including sponsorships, will support Hurricane Helene recovery efforts.

We look forward to seeing you there.
