The Time Has Come

We have made the decision to sell Shaggy Dog Farm. Over the past nearly seven years Al and I (and Teddy of course!) have poured so much of ourselves, our energy and our absolute joy into making Shaggy what it is today. We feel such a sense of accomplishment for all we have achieved and such gratitude for all the people we have met and hopefully served well, but we are yearning for more time for family, friends, travel…. And maybe even a little bit of rest!

The decision is bittersweet. We truly love this place, but it is time to hand it over to those with younger backs to write the next chapter and continue the legacy of this beautiful, magical place.

 

We haven’t decided when exactly we will list it for sale, but we won’t be taking any bookings for 2026. In the meantime, watch for some great moving sales as we prepare the property for its next stewards.

Hold your event in the spacious barn or outside on the grounds, relax on the covered porch, wander through the flowers or sit and chat by the fire. We have a certified commercial kitchen, inside and outside bar areas and two bathrooms to make your wedding, party, meeting, class or community event exactly as you want it.
