Last night we had the pleasure of hosting The 35th Annual John M Ashbrook Memorial Dinner with speaker Mike Pompeo. Thank you to Delight Ministries and the AU Marching Band for volunteering to help with this event. We couldn’t have done it with out you!

🌟Employee Spotlight🌟
Jermaine is one of Event Set/Up Delivery Guys. He has been working for AU for 15 years, 10 of those years in his current position.
This position is the backbone of our catering events! They work alongside the event supervisors to set up the rooms before the events whether that be staging, podium, chairs, and audio visual needs like shown here or even setting tables. This position also involves making deliveries on and off campus.
When asked what his favorite part of working in Catering is Jermaine said “Getting to know the great people I work with”
In his spare time, Jermaine likes to watch sports (specifically the Buckeyes and Steelers) and hanging out with family and friends!
Jermaine, we’re lucky to have you as a part of our team. Thank you for all you do!

Betty Backensto is one of our Lead Waitstaff. She has been with us since September 1st 1999 which means today marks her 23rd year and she’s 92 years young! This is Bettys last week with us in Catering and she’s looking forward to her well deserved time off.
Betty’s favorite memory from her time at AU is being able to be a part of all the different events over the years!
An interesting fact about Betty is that she has 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 21 great great grandchildren!
Betty, we are so lucky to have had you on our staff for 23 years your leadership and experience will never be replaced! 💜💛
