Hello Fellow Citizens!!! It's a Beeutiful 🐝🐝🐝day here in Aston, PA; they are calling for thunderstorms☔☔☔⚡⚡⚡with some much needed H20!!
Today's spotlight shines on the 5th most popular cut flower in the 🌎 world-the Ge**era Daisy. Discovered in 1884 in South Africa, this gem was named after Trauggoh Ge**er, a botanist and physician in the 1700's. The bloom can range from 1 1/2" to 4", and you think that bloom is one flower? Actually it is a cluster of HUNDREDS of flowers!!
In Victorian times, they symbolized happiness while the Egyptians saw it as a devotion to the 🌞 sun and a closness to Nature!! Our Celt Friends would use it to lessen the sorrows and stresses of everyday life; don't you want to go buy a bunch?? As you can see, at Blair's Florist, we have a large selection in a variety of colors, just not blue.💙💙💙 Does not come in blue naturally. What!?!?!?

Good Morning Family!! It's June, and our flower to showcase is the Rose🌹🌹🌹, Rosa, the flower for this month. It is also our National Flower. One of the oldest one is believed to be 1,000 years old! When I lived in Scranton, I purchased a rose bush grafted from one started in 1865! Plants are certainly AMAZING!! Their color can convey thoughts of Love- red, Friendship-yellow, Enthusiasm-orange, Purity- white, and Joy- pink. The rose is used in perfumes, and the rose hips, it's fruit rich in vitamin C, is used in Jams, Jellys, and brewed in a tea. Hip seed oil is used in skin and makeup products. The rose does not have thorns which roots deep in the stem. Our Beauty has "Prickles" that attach to the surface. They say you can root them in a POTATO!! I am going to try that. The pictures I have chosen are a collection of colors, and sizes, we have had at the shop. The first 2 photos are of our Gold Rose🌹🌹🌹; we have a variety of colors but just got the red, white, and blue one for our Nation's Birthday!! Nicely displayed with a sturdy vase, long A. Good Wednesday Morning, Lovies!! As promised, today's spotlight shines on the Iris, the flower for the month of February, 25th wedding anniversaries, and the state flower of Tennessee. The Greek word Iris means 🌈 rainbow and messenger; the Greek goddess of the 🌈 rainbow is Iris who delivered messages to the gods, traveling from Heaven and 🌎 Earth on rainbows!!
Different colors have different meanings: white- Purity, yellow- Passion, blue- Faith and Hope, purple- Wisdom and Admiration.
Since a child, I have admired the Faith and Hope of the Space 🚀🚀🚀program; today, at 3 o'clock, another launch from the Kennedy Space Center!! Exciting news; I saw many launches when I lived in Florida. Wish them well!!

Good Afternoon Family!! What a marvelous day we are having here in SouthEastern Pennsylvania; my Husband and I took a ride to Philly to purchase some favorites and enjoy the flower planters throughout South Philly. Today's focus is not about flowers but about Robins. As you can see, Mama has built a sturdy nest on the corner of the shop's front window. The first is Mama sitting on her eggs, and the 2nd is of the Beautiful pastel blue eggs!! It's a nice, safe place out of the weather. Robins are members of the Thrush Family making them relatives to the blackbird and nightingale. The American Robin is active during the day, and his beautiful song, cheer up😁 cheerily, is often the last song heard at the end of the day🌞. Symbolically, Robins are all about perseverance..." Keep on Keeping on!!" Some view Robins as messages📝 from the Universe, the Divine or Great Spirit, or even Angels!! What message are they sending you?? Have a Grateful day!! XOXO

Hello Family!!! Wanted to say Thank You to our customers for supporting this local florist for Mother's Day!!💐💐💐 So many Beautiful flowers and colors went out our doors, spreading Love and Affection to our Local Mothers!!
My spotlight tonight is shining it's glow on Hydrangeas!! As you can see, I have a small pink bloom on the plant I have been nursing for about a year; I almost lost it twice, but it had survived my neglect and will soon be planted in the Heart Garden when this cold weather passes. That's a picture of the hydrangea in our yard; amazing how this plant puts out beautiful green on what appears to be dead wood!! The blooms come in a variety of colors which is affected by the Aluminum ions in the soil. They can grow just about everywhere, and we get to enjoy their fluffy goodness from Spring to the Fall!! Who wouldn't want a vase to admire?? XOXO

In Victorian times, it conveys a message of return to Happiness. A sweet smelling fragrance disguises it's poisonous nature!! Being the official bloom of the month of May, they are AKA "Mary's Tears," "Our Lady's Tears," and MY Favorite, and a nickname in college, "May Bells!!" "Lily of the Valley" is a song on the "Sheer Heart Attact" album by Queen. Mythically, the Fairies used the tiny bells as cups to drink. My Mommy, born in May, claimed them to be her favorite.
