Interested in personal growth?

Starting this month, will be hosting Human Design Club on the first Saturday of the month and Enneagram Club on the second Saturday of the month! Currently scheduled for 6:30-8:30, although open to time adjustments for future meetups based on interest level.

Human Design is a system that uses a blend of astrology, i ching, chakras, kabbalah tree of life, genetics, biochemistry, and quantum physics to give you a unique energetic blueprint of the gifts/energies you're here to share with others, what you're here to learn and grow in, the role you're here to play in this lifetime, and how you make the most aligned decisions.

Enneagram is a personal growth modality that shows you your core life lesson established from childhood, essentially where your ego is stemmed from with what you learned you needed for love, safety, and survival, so you can learn to unlearn the unhealthy patterns and attachments associated with it and have a more well-balanced life and healthy relationship with your ego.

Please come join us, no matter your experience level, to learn and grow together in an accepting and nonjudgmental space. These are donation-based events, with a recommended $10 donation

Want to manifest your dream life while connecting with others? Join the vision boarding circle on November 19th from 2-3pm hosted by ! Utilizing magazines, pictures, quotes and much more to put your intentions onto paper and put into fruition the life you always dreamt of.

We do please ask that you bring a journal, canvas, or anything you would like to craft on as well as magazines, paint, colored pencils, pictures, items, and anything you like to use to create your board.

We have an opening for a new part time practitioner beginning in November! A good candidate would be someone looking for office/consultation space working in the fields of maternal care/wellness, mental health, herbalism, naturopathy, or spiritual counseling.

See you this Saturday for Astori-Us Day with ! We will begin at 12pm and have live painting demos with as well as a tarot card swap (take a deck, leave a deck)! Starting at 1pm, will host a Ted Talk style presentation on pregnancy nutrition and breastfeeding. At 2pm we will start our monthly Astrology Club meeting, where the topic will be Astro Styling for your Sign: Halloween Costume Edition with .steegmans! And then at 4pm, STEM Astoria will take over with STEM activities for children from 4-5:30pm.

There is so much good stuff happening for , we can't wait!

Are you placenta curious? Our resident practitioners, want to take some time to answer any questions you might have about placenta encapsulation during the postpartum period.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬? The reported benefits include increased energy/vitality, increased milk supply, and increased mood (reduction of postpartum mood disturbances).
𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤𝐬? The most common risk of using placenta capsules would be related to improper handling. If a practitioner didn’t follow USDA food handlers safety practices it would increase the risk of food borne illness. Other risks could include infection transfer from GBS. At North Star, we gently heat treat each placenta to reduce the risk of an infection transferring from the placenta to the client.
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤? During labor, your placenta becomes saturated in oxytocin (the feel good hormone). This is the same hormone that helps increase milk supply, energy, and mood. It’s normal for your brain to become deficient in this hormone during the postpartum period because it had to work so hard to create so much during labor and delivery. Using the oxytocin soaked placenta to help revive your oxytocin stores is why people report the stated benefits! In addition to the high levels of oxytocin, your placenta is also very rich in iron, another nutrient that postpartum bodies tend to be deficient in.

We're very excited to have hosting Sound Bath & Guided Meditation events at our center again, happening every third Sunday of the month at 5:30pm.

Only 2 weeks until our Spa Sessions event at Lumen Community Wellness! During these sessions, guests will rotate through 4 private mini sessions with a selection of our practitioners and end with a 30 minute group guided meditation and sound bath. During the private mini sessions, you’ll be treated to 30 min of 1:1 facial treatments, nail care, foot soak and reflexology, and either an astrological birth chart reading or a tarot/oracle card reading.

This is an amazing value at $190 per ticket and includes refreshments during the event. We have limited space available in our day session from 11am-2pm and our evening session from 6pm-9pm.

We are currently taking new clients for reiki energy healing!
Reiki is an evidence based method of energy healing that is shown in scientific studies to help reduce feelings of depression, anxiety, and grief while improving your mood overall. Our in-house practitioner combines reiki with myofacial release to help additionally relieve tightness in the body. Clients can opt to add 30 min of reflexology to their reiki session for a fully relaxing and grounding experience. Sessions start at $80 and are being scheduled for Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

We accept OHP, many private insurers, HSA, and offer sliding scale for some private pay clients. Our services include birth doulas, postpartum doulas, placenta encapsulation, and childbirth education. Whatever type of delivery you're planning, in or out of a hospital, with or without an epidural, having a doula is an evidence based decision that can lead to a better birth.
