It’s definitely a good life!!
I grew up being sassy and prissy, not wanting to get dirty and wearing dresses (I know, weird). If you know me at all, the sass is still on point but I don’t think I’ve worn a dress since the 90s. I love to be outside and have been covered in more mud (and cattle poo) than I care to think about. The decision to change didn’t come lightly, but as my age climbed, my body said “You can’t outrun that mama cow anymore.” I do miss the cattle, especially the calving seasons.
I love that I have a life that has allowed me to expand my flower growing and use the land in a positive way. I can be outside, work the same long hours, still be covered in muck, and see things grow from seeds to blooms. And running from cattle is now only in my nightmares!
My kids have heard me say over and over, “You get out what you put in.” I firmly believe that applies to whatever we choose to do in this life. A good friend told me today that it’s so fun to find your passion. I couldn’t agree more!

I’m definitely not a fan of freezing rain, and am hoping my covered plants are okay. Kind of afraid to look😬 The pipes didn’t burst and the animals are okay, so I’ll take that as a win.
