As Georgia’s most innovative and evocative theatre outside Atlanta, the University Theatre consistently produces high-quality, thought-provoking shows, including premieres of original works. We’re so excited for Spotlight on the Arts 2024!

Spotlight on the Arts 2024 is almost here! Celebrate the visual, literary and performing arts at the University of Georgia from November 1-30 with more than 50 events and exhibitions.

Highlights of the 13th annual festival include the Lamar Dodd School of Art’s Dodd Market, a UGA Theatre production of Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5” and a University of Georgia Performing Arts Center performance by the genre-defying Silkroad Ensemble led by award-winning composer and multi-instrumentalist Rhiannon Giddens. Also featured is UGA Dance’s Young Choreographers Series Senior Exit and Emerging Choreographers Show, a concert by UGA Hugh Hodgson School of Music’s Chinese Music Ensemble and The Georgia Museum of Art’s artist talk and Signature Lecture by visual artist Micah Cash.

Don’t miss student performances and student artwork for sale at Tate Plaza from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on November 13. And if you’re looking for evening plans, take a group of friends to the Willson Center for Humanities and Arts’s Spotlight on the Arts Trivia Night on November 20.
