Our "Celebrate America's Veterans" Lunch Matinees June 15th & 16th 2023 are now in the books, we were proud to provide complete lunch and show at no cost to all attending veterans, groups attended from Merrill Gardens Madison, Hsv FBC Fellowship Club, Community South Decatur, FBC Athens, Friendship UMC Athens, West Hsv Baptist Prime Timers, Madison Christian, Lawrence Co Tn Senior Center, Knights of Columbus Decatur, Mt Zion Hsv, Vitality Living Hsv, Wall Hwy Baptist Hsv, Madison Church of Christ, Veteran Legacies, and many individual guests. Our Lunch Matinees and Early Dinner Shows continue each month.

Hello friends,
Our Mike Chapman Memorial Music Scholarship for 2023 was presented to Clements High School graduating senior Corbin Ehlendt. The scholarship was presented at the May 18th edition of our Senior Lunch Matinee Series at Yesterdays Event Center in Athens, Al. The scholarship was created in 2016 by Yesterdays Event Center in honor of Mike Chapman, a Clements High School graduate of 1970, a member of Garth Brook’s studio band the “G-Men”, and a member of the Country Music Musicians Hall of Fame, who passed in 2016. It's finally happening, after 25 years we are getting our Yesterdays Event Center floors refinished. This was scheduled for June 2020, but covid hit in March (2020) and we were shut down for 18 months. We are back to 75% of our pre-covid attendance, and with a full calendar of Lunch Matinees and Early Dinner Shows for 2023, we decided it is time. A week to complete and a week to cure, we will be ready for our new Early Dinner Show Sat Mar 4th, our "70's Variety Show" featuring "Natchez Trace", for their debut performance with us. That show will sell out quickly, e-mail reservations required in advance at [email protected], (no facebook reservations) seats $30 includes reserved seating, dinner, show, unlimited soft drinks, and free parking.
