The National Endowment for the Arts has approved AthFest Educates for a grant in the amount of $35,000 to support the 2025 AthFest Music & Arts Festival. We look forward to working with the NEA to finalize the grant paperwork and appreciate the agency’s support for this project.

JOKERJOKERtv achieved an extraordinary feat during ! The community-driven media initiative coordinated interviews and live in-studio performances with over 40 artists, pulling off a remarkable four-day “JOKERJOKERtv @ AthFest 2024” production that kept audiences engaged and entertained - a testament to the power of community support and volunteerism. The crew’s ingenuity and excitement radiated, with volunteers and artists alike expressing gratitude and excitement for the platform JOKERJOKERtv provides, emphasizing its role in fostering connections and inspiration within the Athens community.

JOKERJOKERtv is accelerating plans to develop its own streaming platform, complete with an on-premises server to ensure uninterrupted broadcasts. This would allow JOKERJOKERtv to stream not only to their website and YouTube, but also to larger platforms like RokuTV and FireTV, reducing dependency on external services. The AthFest Music & Arts Festival officially started yesterday evening with crowds gathering around the outdoor stages before dispersing into the 12 participating club venues until the late night hours. Flagpole photographer Mason Pearson was on the scene to capture the first day’s experience.
