In January of 2025, Athfest Educates announced that our organization had been awarded a grant from the National Endowment of the Arts to fund increases in artist pay and make accessibility improvements for the 2025 AthFest Music and Arts Festival.

As you may be aware, funding is now uncertain due to recent Executive Orders. In light of these recent actions, please be assured of the following:

1. AthFest Educates will continue to implement these improvements this year regardless of NEA funding. Thanks to generous donors and sponsors in our community and the continual efforts of the AthFest Educates Board of Directors to ensure our financial sustainability throughout any crisis. (Stay tuned over the next few months to hear more!)
2. We remain committed to making AthFest a diverse, equitable and inclusive community event that celebrates the artistic talents of the myriad communities that make Athens the vibrant cultural center we know and love.
