Ash Wednesday is tomrrow at 6pm at Westside. Set up and ready.

Those of you who know me or have talked to me about what I love about ministry know that Central‘s Ash Wednesday service is my absolute favorite service of the year. By far. Every year we do it I say to the people I’m serving with, “This is why I signed up to be a pastor.” When people kneel with me and I take Ash and I put it on their forehead and I say the words “repent and believe the gospel,” it’s one of the most intimate acts of ministry I get to do. The service is incredibly simple: Scripture. Silence. Song. And sacramental acts. If you haven’t noticed, we’ve been doing pretty much the exact same Ash Wednesday service for 20 years.

Central Avenue United Methodist Church - if you're coming to the Adam Hamilton Event today, you can park in the black top lot on the far left of the Masonic Lodge. Please do not park on the concrete spots directly behind the building. Street parking is also open.
