Venue coordinators are NOT wedding planners. Venue coordinators do not schedule appointments and offer conceirge planning services. Venue coordinators sole purpose is to ensure that the details of the venue are set. Yeah sure they may do some extras here and there, but honestly you are just another client passing through. A wedding planner truly cares and it is their JOB to ensure every single detail is thought about. They stress so you can relax.

Here are some things a wedding planner does…

Negotiations -they will negotiate the best deals on your behalf.

Room Blocks and accommodations wedding planners have connections with hotels and they know to correct questions to ask before you sign your life away. They also will monitor the progress of a block and make sure people are booking.

Transportation logistics wedding planners will check transportation manifest and follow up with the transportation driver to make sure that they are one time as scheduled.

Budget planning and allocation.
Planners know what money needs to go where and they also track your expenses.

Contracts wedding planners comb through contracts and read the fine print.

BEO(Banquet Event Orders wedding planners check these to ensure catering timing and logistics are correct.

RSVP tracking assistance and room layout and seating charts. Planners work with you so you don’t have to stress.

I could go on but hopefully you get the point.

Lastly planners are hear to listen when everyone else is sick and tired of hearing about your wedding plans and ideas. Wedding planner love to hear your vision and uniqueness.

Wannabe Planners usually price themselves starting at $500

Wedding planners that have been around the block and known how to handle wedding emergencies
$1500 and up

The real MVPs don’t even lift a finger for anything less than $2500

Luxury planners $4000 and up
