🚫😔 5 Reasons Your S3x Life is Bad 😔🚫

This episode was triggering for me and needed to share it. So many don’t realize when they are in relationships where they are being manipulated and controlled until it is too late. Mental, emotional abuse is a thing and if you are not confident and understand who you are people like him will control you… They will dim your light and pull you away from whatever God has for you without you even realizing it.

It is never God’s intention for you to be abused. It is always His intention for people to treat you in the way that He cares for you but you have to have a relationship with Him to understand that. Love is not controlling, it isn’t manipulative, it doesn’t make demands that don’t line up with Godly principles…

1 Corinthians 13 says;

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.

Did someone say Christians and s3ccs toys? 🧸 🚂🧸🚂

It would be irresponsible for me to say that toys are for everyone because there are many with personal convictions that says it’s not okay to do. If you have those convictions, Romans 14:23 says that you should follow those convictions. My recommendation is to understand where the convictions come from. 🕵🏾🧐

Many times when individuals have a conviction about something it is because of previous experiences, beliefs or the lack of knowledge about the thing they would like to try.

For those who do not have those convictions, toys are okay to implement. There are certain guidelines and conversations you and your spouse should have before you implement.🥼🔬

You and your spouse should ask these questions;

👉 1. Is it moral? Leviticus 18 highlights the umbrella of what God considers to be s*xually immoral to do. God wants your marriage bed to stay pure so it is important to stay away from anything that could defile it.

👉2. Are my intentions pure? Paul lets us know in Mathew 5:27-28 that we can have the wrong intentions about something. Make sure that your intentions are pure before you implement anything new into the bedroom.

👉3. Is it mutually agreeable? Amos 3:3 says how can two walk unless they have agreed? You and your spouse need to be in full agreement for the thing you would like to implement

👉 4. Is it mutually beneficial? 1 Corinthians 7:3-5 says that you are to give but you are also to receive.

👉5. Is this allowing us to become one? Genesis 2:22 says that you are bone of bone and flesh of flesh. Whatever you implement in the bedroom should always bring you closer and not apart.

There are times when you and your spouse want to implement new things into your bedroom. Have the conversations to help you understand what is okay and not okay for you to do as a couple.

🚨Trigger Warning

Throw back to that one time my sister took me with her to freaknik! 🤦🏾‍♀️ I pray y’all never see me in any type of documentary because I love the Lord now! 😂

✨But a moment of transparency, during this time of my life it was a real struggle. My p**n addiction started somewhere around here. I was watching it like it was regular TV.

✨The reality was at this age, I was 12 years old and had already been abused so many times that I began making a plan to take charge of my life. I wanted to take my life back from the ones who were consistently taking from it. I thought that it was empowering to watch the women in those videos take charge and I wanted that for me! I didn’t realize what it was doing to me.

✨It was the beginning of an unhealthy relationship with my s*xuality that would take me years upon years to heal through.

✨I’m so glad that I’m not where I used to be! We all have a story as to why we do things and I didn’t know it then but my obsession to help women who struggle with s*xuality began from the very first time I would be “touched.”

✨My mission in life is to help all those who have experienced trauma and want to take back their s*xuality God’s way.

Hey Friends! 🙋🏾‍♀️

I remember when I first got married, there was such a fear of being free to enjoy the marital bed. 🤭 I couldn't embrace what I wasn't comfortable with. I had too much trauma, abuse, misconception, and all the things you could possibly think of. There was no greater feeling knowing that it was God's desire for me to embrace my spouse and to be free to do so. It wasn't sin, it wasn't nasty, it was beautiful and He wanted me to enjoy the gift freely. 🙌🏾

Now I engage without guilt and I do so freely but it wasn't easy.

Now I can...

🛏 Enjoy the gift without being triggered because of my past...
🛏 Explore and without feeling as if I am committing a sin...
🛏 Embody who God is when we connect. Knowing that we are a reflection hits different in the way that we please each other.

✨To all those who have ever felt stuck around the idea of being free in their bedroom, are tied to their trauma, or are locked into the limited beliefs that keep you bound, I want to help you!

I want you to know that intimacy doesn't have to feel like a chore. God desires you to understand so much more through your s*xual experiences. 🙏🏾

As I thought about today, I thought about the labor is not in vain. Many of us have worked extensively in places we felt was not fulfilling but yet we showed up.

Now I need you to do me a favor and apply that same energy and show up for you more than you show up for that job that you’ve been complaining about. If your current situation is where you want to be then fine, but for those who want and desire more, it is time to start creating the opportunities you want. The great news is that you are living in a society where you don’t have to wait on others to give you a seat at their table. You have an opportunity to create your own! Always remember that you are the plug 🔌 and all that you want you can have. You just have to believe that the things you desire are reachable and then you can reach. 🤚🏾

Ya'll I have been writing all day! ✍️ I've been attending events where I can be selling my books and mad at myself because I'm like man it is taking forever but nothing before God's timing. Folks are out here wanting to know what all they can do in their bedrooms and God has given me answers to help. I'm coming with them ya'll please be patient with me.

I'm writing this because a friend of mine asked me for my thoughts on whether or not Christians can enjoy "outdoor play!" 😉 I was excited because I covered this topic in my book and sent her a copy of my excerpt and wanted to share.

Hope this helps all of my closeted married saints who have the questions but are afraid to get the answers so here you go!

About last night! Anyone else underestimate the importance of date nights? Dating your spouse, especially for those who have been together for a long time is crucial. Date nights provides opportunities to reconnect, communicate and keep the romance alive. All of these are essential if you want to maintain a strong fulfilling relationship. Prioritizing date nights can help save a marriage. A word of advice, leave the kids at home and spend some time with your spouse.
