Wedding tip Wednesday: 🗣️DO NOT lie about your event. I.E Having a wedding disguising it as a party.
I see so many brides complaining about why vendors charge more for weddings and that they are going to just lie and say they are having a party 😒

There are several reasons why a lot of vendors increase their pricing for weddings. Never lie about your event because you will be charged for the remainder on the spot or the vendor just might not show up 🤧

✅ DJs charge more for weddings because a lot more work goes into preparing for a wedding vs a party. Example: there are no ceremony songs, no first dance songs, no special dance songs for a party those things have to be prepared. Usually there is no lapel or wireless mics needed for a party. A lot of weddings require multiple speaker set ups. One for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. A party does not require this. See where I’m going with this 🤦🏽‍♀️

✅ Photographers are not standing on their feet for 6-8+ hours for a party they are prepping their equipment in advance, bringing multiple team members to get certain shots. 9/10 there are no getting ready photos for a party, there are no photos with the wedding party or first looks etc… (I’m willing to bet a lot more goes in to this) but you understand my point.

✅ Decorators. When you book for the average party more than likely you’re not inviting 100+ people, not having 3 different areas that require decor (ceremony, cocktail and reception), usually not needing our rentals for 8-10+ hours. Design prep, arrival time, most decorators don’t go home til 1-2am to breakdown for a wedding. Our entire day goes to that one individual to bring your wedding vision to life.

✅ Caterers, bakers, florist, etc… I can’t speak for but I’m sure they have their reasons. Feel free to comment on why you guys would charge more for weddings vs a party.

And just a heads up. If we have to charge more the day of because you LIED. The only form of payment that will be accepted is CASH!!!! NO CHECKS, NO CREDIT CARDS, NO PAYPAL, will be accepted.
