This is what a trial run looks like in its infancy before we cook up a storm. This, folks, (aside from some other yummy ingredients) is the start of a pre-cooking trial run for food included in our upcoming pre-order for Thanksgiving. First up, is the Smoked Yellow Bell Pepper soup that will be available off the Thanksgiving menu from Sol later this month! We like to make a batch to try the first part of November in order ensure the soup(s) we make in a few weeks are as delicious as they can get! Now that the end of October has arrived, we have begun taking pre-orders for our popular annual Thanksgiving pickup menu on the TDS website at: http://www.taqueriadelsol.com/georgia/catering/index.html . All of the details you need regarding dates, pickup times and how to order are all there! We have posted a copy of the menu below so that you have a chance to preview all the delicious offerings for this year to help you decide - from main courses, to sides to desserts! With an impending Hurricane on its way in and UP to the ATL, today was an EARLY food drop off (before lunchtime AND plenty of food for three shifts!) for some of our favorite First Responders again! Dekalb County Number 10 and Dekalb County Number 7 both received Sol Catering food to carry them through the next 24 hours (and beyond) of what all of us know will be incredibly busy for all Fire Stations in Georgia. Hoping that everyone stays safe during the storm! We are continually thankful for all the firefighter/first responder men and women who work so hard to KEEP us all safer. Every single day.

This past September 10th, for the third year in a row, Sol Catering of Taqueria del Sol, provided food for TACO TUESDAY - a delicious lunch buffet spread, at the request of Bill and Lisa Ditty, for their THANK YOU to the amazing staff at the Georgia Make-A-Wish Foundation for all of their hard work. The luncheon was a thank you not only for what they do all year long but most recently, in preparation for one of their biggest yearly events, raising money to help create life changing wishes in support of all children fighting critical illnesses & their families. This year has been hard for many Charitable Organizations in raising money for their causes, including the Georgia Make-A-Wish Foundation (MAW). However, this year surpassed all expectations and achieved more than the goal at the recent September Georgia Make-A-Wish event, one of their best on record. We are honored to have been able to help provide a big THANK YOU to all of the staff who made it happen. It was another Fire station Food Drop off day to bring Sol food to our Favorite First Responders! Four of our Dekalb County Fire stations received food from Sol, including Emory Guard, who is the designated Fire station serving all of the area in and around where Sol Catering is located! Dekalb County Fire Stations 1 (Emory Guard), 11 (The Rock), 23 (The Brockett Triangle) and 20 (Pride of Panthersville)'s menu today: Picadillo, Albondigas (Meatballs/rice simmered in New Mexico Green chili peppers), Flour tortillas, Mexican Rice and Green NM chili pepper Tamales! As always, it is a great honor to be able to bring a little sunshine to our GA firefighters in the way of food in thanks for all that they do for us!

Over the past few years, September 11th has always been a good day to bring Sol Catering lunch to some of our many favorite first responders in Dekalb County - today was Number 7 - War Wagon!!! Always in great thanks to all of the firefighters who serve others - every single call. We appreciate every single one of you.

Sol Catering continues to drop off food to one Firestation per week, enough food for all three shifts at each house in continual thanks for the work they all do for Georgia. Today was Dekalb county Number 26 - McAfee Run! Tamales, Pork Taco with pineapple salsa, enchilada casseroles, beans/rice and Chips-Salsa-Cheese Dip with Banana Cream pies and Chai Zucchini breads for dessert! We are thankful for our favorite First Responders!!!! Let's gooooo!

YES, WE OPEN AT 4PM ON SUPERBOWL SUNDAY FOR BURRITOS TO GO - open at 4pm! Along with our regular To Go Burrito Menu, we are serving Superbowl Specials of the day - the Buffalo Chicken and a Superbowl Loaded Nachos Plate! COME GET 'EM WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!
