In case you were wondering, boutonnières are absolutely still in style!

What is the correct way to pin a boutonnière?

Here are a few helpful tips:

1.) Place the boutonnière on his left lapel collar (your right side), just under the knotted part of his tie. It’s important that you don’t pin it too high so that it doesn’t get caught in his facial hair or scratch against his face

2.) While holding the stem in its place, flip the lapel collar over to the back side

3.) Take your first pin and thread it in and out of the lapel while catching the stem on your way through. Pin slightly at an angle, but mostly horizontal

4.) Take your second pin and thread it similarly towards the top of the stem, except more vertically to stabilize.

5.) If the flowers are top heavy, use the second pin to thread through the heaviest flower rather than the stem.

Pinning a boutonnière can be tricky. Good luck!

As we come down to the end of another year, I would like to take this time to simply say, “Thank You” to everyone who has supported my business by booking my services, referring a client, reposting, saving, sharing and liking my photos on any platform. Thank you to the industry colleagues who continuously refer me to their clients. Thank you to the floral and business community that embrace me and support me.

This year marks my 15th year in the special events industry. My God-given talents are my blessings that I get to share with the world and I pray that if we have engaged in any way, I was a blessing in your life.

Truth be told, I can’t think of anything more beautiful, impressive, and awe-inspiring than an outdoor wedding ceremony underscored by immaculate weather.

There are a lot of moving parts and big details to putting together an outdoor event but at the same time, the options and opportunities are endless. Here you see one of my floral designers, Christina Bullard of Tina's Flowers & Showers hard at work designing our garden area for the ceremony.

While there are many beautiful reasons to consider an outdoor celebration, inclement weather is always a preeminent concern for both my couples and I.

Be sure to select an outdoor venue that can also easily accommodate an indoor ceremony and reception if need be due to rain or other inclement weather. It is always important to have a contingency plan for outdoor events. We work with our clients and venues to discuss available options.

For my clients Erica Perry and Chris Tsang, we combined their different cultures into one celebratory union and incorporated their traditions to honor both their families’ heritages - and each other.

A small and beautiful detail to honour the life of a loved one.

We provided our bride, Jasmine a special tribute to her late father by reserving a special place for him not just in her heart, but also a seat at her wedding.

A "memorial" chair is a symbol for someone who couldn't be there in person but is present in spirit.

There's so much prep that goes on during wedding days involving way more than just prepping the bride and groom. From unloading and setting up design installations, to managing timelines, to ensuring the beautiful cake has a moment all of its own, what we do is more than just a snap your fingers and boom there's magic!

I'm a huge fan of texture so whenever I design a room, I actually start designing backwards. For instance, I like picking the linens before the flowers. Once I've got the base of the table then I build up from there to ensure that the flowers and décor we're placing on the tables is a good compliment to the linens.

This birthday brunch party was full of dimension. From the textured linens, to the lush florals in the centerpieces, to the mixed patterns of china, stemware, and flatware.

I had so much fun styling this because of the variety of details.

Décor and flowers play a huge part in creating the elegant setting for your wedding day. Your wedding ceremony is a welcoming of your guests to your big day. It is your grand entrance into saying ‘I do’ and we work to make an impact in your aisle décor design.

I set out to incorporate bold, red flowers for the event styling of this wedding. Thank you to my floral designer Tina's Flowers & Showers who is always down for my floral designs (no matter how crazy they are).

The floral boxes of long stem red roses were statement pieces that we not only used for the outdoor ceremony space but were also repurposed for the reception design.

2023 Wedding Trends? Color, Color, Color.

Bold color schemes are becoming more popular for weddings, with couples choosing vibrant color palettes for their décor and floral arrangements.

For this design concept, I wanted bold color. Planter boxes of long stem red roses were implemented. Look how they adorned the aisle of the outdoor ceremony space.

What is a Baby Sprinkle?

A Baby Sprinkle is a type of baby shower to celebrate a family's second child. Instead of a traditional shower, the gifts are often diapers, wipes and a few outfits since many families who are expecting their second child already have a lot of the gear they'll need. It's a newer concept we are embracing!
