Meet the Designer:
Corliss Smalls, owner and founder of Shēk Event Planning & Designs, LLC, began her career as co-owner of a catering business. During her tenure she flawlessly orchestrated various events for numerous corporations and small businesses.
As owner of Shēk Event Planning & Designs, LLC, Corliss has more than 10 years of home décor and event planning experience. She has a love for colors, patterns, and schemes which she uses to decorate and coordinate private parties and planned events. She has an extensive client list which includes Fulton County Judge Thomas A. Cox Jr., Billye and Hank Aaron, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Chapter of Cobb County, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc, Tuskegee University Sons & Daughters of Booker T. Washington, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, Cascade United Methodist Church, as well as her friends and family.
Corliss credits her professional success to great mentors, her sensitivity to her clients’ needs, her warm personality, an innate willingness to tackle any challenge, and her desire to make every event an unforgettable experience.
Born in Washington, D.C. but raised in Southern California, Corliss completed her education at Tuskegee University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in English & Communications.
Corliss spends her free time being an amazing mother, daughter, caregiver for her mother and grandmother.
