There’s been a lot of new faces around here lately, so I wanted to do a little introduction and show you the team behind Ginger Rose!

My name is Alyssa, and I am the owner of Ginger Rose! I am a mother of two amazing kids, we have a goldendoodle named Moose, my partner Jonathan and I met on Match.com 11 years ago while living in San Francisco, we moved across the country 7 years ago and have created a beautiful life together in Atlanta, Georgia!

I have been a florist for 17 years, and started in the industry washing flower buckets and sweeping floors as a shop assistant at the tiny flower shop in my hometown. I fell in love with it on my very first day of work! Since then, I’ve worked at some of the best flower shops in California where I’m originally from, attended floral design school in Portland, and was lucky enough to go to an in-person workshop at back when she was still hosting them! Attending that workshop gave me that push of confidence I needed to embark on my own journey as a small business owner, and the rest is history!

My flower journey has been a wild ride, but I am so thankful that I decided to make the leap and become a small business owner 8 years ago this August! Moving across the country without knowing anyone is terrifying, but this industry has been so welcoming and building my business from the ground up has been such an honor!

Over these past 8 years in Georgia, we’ve been a part of some really amazing projects, and have the best clients, so thank you for following along in my flower journey…it means the world to me! 💕

T H A N K F U L ❤️
This weekend was such a whirlwind, but we had so much fun the entire time we were flowering for the three events we had! We started off designing for and on Friday, and then it was wedding in peidmont park, and lastly on Saturday we did a Mother’s Day pop-up with ! It was one of the busiest weekends I’ve ever had, but I had the best team helping me out, and together we were able to bring so many beautiful arrangements throughout the entire city! Ginger Rose is growing, and I am so excited to announce that we are moving into our very own retail space starting in August 2021! I can’t wait to bring floral design workshops, custom fresh and dried flower arrangements, daily deliveries, retail offerings, and event florals all under one roof!

With that being said, your last day to shop for Ginger Rose dried and fresh products inside in VaHi will be this SUNDAY 6/20/21!

Keep an eye on our stories for sneak peeks of this new project, and in the meantime, remember you can always still order fresh and dried arrangements over the next 2 months while we’re moving into our new home by emailing us directly at [email protected].

M O T H E R ‘ S D A Y 💐

We are so excited to launch our 2021 Mother’s Day collection today! (We’ve been so busy around here that we didn’t have a chance to do a new photoshoot for Mother’s Day, but we promise our arrangements will be beautiful, ethereal, and full of spring vibes! We are using beautiful photos from our Valentine’s Day collection just to give to an idea in size and vase offerings, however the color palettes and styles for our Mother’s Day arrangements will be a fresh take on SPRING!)

We will be only taking 50 pre-orders for Mother’s Day, so head on over to to the shop tab on our website and order ASAP!

About to get a little sentimental...

I always joke that Valentine’s Day is like the “super bowl” of the flower industry. It’s one of our busiest days of the year, and by the end of it, florists are exhausted beyond words and need about 12 weeks to recover lol.

I am definitely exhausted beyond words, but I woke up this morning feeling immensely proud of myself and Team Ginger Rose for everything that we accomplished this past week.

I have worked with other florists over the past 14 years during Valentine’s, but this was the first year of me taking on Valentine’s by myself as a business owner. This means that for the first time of my life, I was solely in charge of EVERYTHING....planning, flower ordering, spreadsheets, organizing, team building, designing, delivering and the list goes on...

During a pandemic, being a new retail shop, in the middle of a winter storm, we were able to surpass my goals both financially and units sold, and I don’t say this to boast, but more so because I think that it’s really important to pat yourself on the back every so often when you exceed your own expectations.

I am PROUD of what we accomplished. I am THANKFUL for my team of amazing freelancers this week. I am HONORED that y’all chose our flowers to gift to your significant others.

My heart is so full of gratitude for everything that happened this past week, and I love each of you for supporting this little dream of mine.
