How early should you book your bouquet preservation?

It depends on the time of year! April-October can book up, so it’s always best to reach out early to make sure your spot is saved. Sometimes I can also accommodate last minute bouquets as well, so just message me to check availability for your day! I’d say a month or two ahead of your wedding is usually plenty of time, but you can never reach out too soon! I have openings right now for this week or last week’s weddings so don’t hesitate to reach out!

I’ve started doing a thing that I heard about on a mom podcast, and it’s called Sunday planning. Basically you write all of your plans for the week down on the calendar on Sunday night, and then you fill in around those items with the smaller goals/tasks that you have that week. For example, what day specifically are you going to glue back on the pop-up book rhino head that your toddler ruthlessly tore from it’s body? Or what day are you going to actually organize the weird catch-all drawer that’s been a mess for months? It helps so much because they’re actually scheduled out and on my calendar instead of just floating around forever inside of my bottomless pit of a mom brain. Mom brain is real. Calendars help.

I think bride brain is definitely a real thing too, so I just thought I’d share what’s been working for me lately! Plus if you do this method you get to cross things off of a list, and that’s just the best feeling, isn’t it?

I love a pop of blue in a bouquet! Even adding a small amount of a pastel into an all white bouquet can add a lot of dimension in the frame. Roses with a slight pink or peach hue or accessory flowers with hints of yellow or blue is a sneaky way to have a neutral color palate while also adding just enough variance to make each bloom stand out individually.

If I could recommend anything to brides when they plan their florals if bouquet preservation is in their plans, I would say ask for lots of different textures and flower types! The variety in florals makes the arrangement extra dynamic and creates a lot of depth within the design. Even all white flowers in a bouquet can have a huge impact when there is a good balance of greenery, accessory flowers, and larger statement flowers. Basically, be creative and have fun with your florals!! I’ll take care of the rest.
