Many people choose to get married on the winter solstice because of its symbolism of new beginnings and the potential for a bright future.

THE TRUTH BEHIND YOUR WEDDING PHOTOS

There is no doubt that choosing a photographer is one of the most critical decisions you’ll have to make when planning your wedding. After all, the wedding lasts one day, but the memories and photos are forever.

It takes a village to create a stunning look that can then be captured beautifully, unique to the photographer you choose.
So let’s talk about what goes into your wedding photos and what role your planner play in all of this.

If your wedding vendors & creatives are the orchestra, the photographer would be the lead violinist, who - among other things - is responsible for tuning the orchestra to ensure the piece is captured perfectly.
So what’s a planner’s role in taking the photos?
A Planner is to your wedding photos what a conductor is to the orchestra.

Much like a conductor, a planner sets the tone for the whole event, leads all the musicians (wedding vendors and creatives), and works closely with the concertmaster (the photographer), guiding them through the piece (the wedding).

Just like the conductor creates their interpretation of the musical piece, the planner creates the grander vision (the look of your event) and puts all the elements together, allowing all sections of the orchestra to shine in their parts.

We follow, appreciate, and admire many fellow wedding planners, designers, and florists who keep testing the boundaries of wedding design.
We love seeing new ideas and different styling elements used in new contexts.

But, when it comes to our creative process, we tend to venture outside the wedding world when searching for inspiration for bespoke wedding concepts for our couples. That's why instead of industry-specific publications and our typical Pinterest searches like "wedding arch" or "modern wedding decor," you are more likely to find us buried in a pile of architecture & design magazines, following architect studios on IG and flipping through our favorite coffee table books.

ARCHITECTURE, FOLLOWED BY ARTS, INTERIOR DESIGN, FASHION, AND LUXURY TRAVEL, ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT SOURCES OF INSPIRATION IN OUR CREATIVE PROCESS.
IT IS WHAT FUELS OUR UNIQUE APPROACH TO WEDDINGS.
