From the torn edges to the warm color palette to the river view, the first glimpse of the wedding design evoked a cozy feeling of “home.” Bridesmaid and artist created the custom watercolor crest and the envelope liner depicting the backyard view of the river.

We kept the ceremony florals light and creamy with pops of mauve and mocha to play off the changing hues of the early November foliage in the courtyard. You’ll have to check back tomorrow to see the way we transitioned into a moodier, more romantic palette for the reception!

It’s a rare but welcome occasion that we get to design a wedding ceremony in the courtyard at Summerour Studio. We had add mocha sheer drape in the archways to highlight the ceremony backdrop. The way the drape glowed as the sun set was such a beautiful surprise!

Carolyn and Aaron used potted plants, trees and bright blooms for their ceremony and then, effortlessly, transitioned these beauties to the reception. Repurposing decor elements from your ceremony to your reception allows you to enjoy your investment throughout the evening.
