During normal in-person festivals, one of our offerings is our annual choir concerts where you can get a sampling of our Byzantine and Orthodox hymns.
Though we can't offer that in-person this year, our wonderful choir has recorded this virtual choir concert (we think a first for Greek Festivals everywhere) for you featuring 5 hymns including:
-Christos Anesti (Christ is Risen), sung beginning on Easter and lasting through Pentecost
-The Hymn of the Church for the Feast of the Annunciation on March 25th; sung each Divine Liturgy at our Cathedral and by all Orthodox Christians on March 25th
- I Parthanos Simeron (The Young Virgin on this Day), sung leading up to the Nativity, which tells the account of the Virgin Mary on her way to Bethlehem
- Ti Ipermaho (To Thee as Champion), a Hymn to honor the Virgin Mary sung during Lent.
-Soma Christou (Receive the Body of Christ), which is a communion hymn sung during the Paschal season.
