Austin Photography will offer professional pictures. Open to all, this family-friendly occasion with Indiana’s Character Experience is on Sunday, June 9th from 2pm-4:30pm.

I’ll second Kylee’s sentiments - it has been so nice to get to know this great couple over the past two years.

There are so many amazing vendors around us who work in the wedding industry and they picked a great team. It’s always reassuring to work with familiar faces, and to meet new ones as well. Working with Wedding Coordinator Booth was a dream! Beautiful captured moments, Kylee!

April 28-May 4 is National Small Business Week.

I feel so blessed to own our business. I could share so many God stories, but the parable about abiding in the vine and bearing much fruit has perfectly illustrated my life, especially the last 7 years. I get to be a part of people’s good life celebrations, and that’s not a bad gig! But it’s more than that. It came with a lot of pruning for my good to produce more love, patience and kindness, hope and to increase my faith.

When I first put our business on Google maps, I saw that we live on the original border of a town called Vine! 🍇 years ago when I named my furniture building business Vignette House, I thought it was French for vine. It’s actually vigne so close enough 😉

Thank you to the ones who have walked alongside us all the way, and thank you for the many wonderful families who have celebrated here.

I am so excited to kick off wedding season this week!!!! ♥️

Feeling nostalgic in the quiet this morning. This feels like a throwback to my childhood in the ‘70s and memories of Christmas at LS Ayres.

My mom was born and raised in Washington DC and didn’t learn how to drive until I was older, so we rode the bus downtown to visit Santaland each year.

Maybe those trips are the reason I love oversized chandeliers? ✨

Jessica + Christian 🌻

First impression when Jessica came to tour: joyful! She had a clear vision of the decor she wanted: sunflowers. I'll plant sunflowers around the she shed, I told her, for a little photo op. Despite my best efforts, about 1/5 of the seeds bloomed, and a week early at that. Two years ago, I had no problem whatsoever in another area of the gardens.

No matter, it wasn't even a blip with her plan, and a family and friend crew to help her bring that vision to life. (Maybe their gift of flower seeds will yield a better result next year!)

Their reception was a lot of fun; I got lots of hugs that night! 🥰
