Our 2021 wedding season has officially come to an end and we are having mixed emotions. We met some of the most amazing couples and were apart of so many genuine and beautiful love stories. But we also learned some tough lessons—we learned that even if you give 200% of yourself to every wedding and every couple, you can still fall short if the couple doesn’t give the same energy back.

What do we mean by this statement? Well, every single vendor has documents and/or information that they need to gather from their couples in order to be successful at their jobs. When couples are unwilling to relay information, reluctant to fill out documents because of their length, and all around uncooperative with the process, it makes us unable to do our jobs.

We know it’s tough, we know you are tired, and that if anyone asks you one more question you feel like you are going to break, but you have to give your vendors all the information in your head. We are not magic, we cannot read your minds— your photographer won’t know to get that one shot you’ve been dreaming of unless you communicate it, your florist won’t know to us dahlias unless you communicate it.
