Attleboro Still Rocks 2024 Raises $11,300.00
to Support Music Scholarships and Grants

Attleboro Still Rocks, an organization founded to celebrate classic rock of the 60s, 70s and 80s, raised $11,300.00 to support the Tim Lindsey Music Fund at its sixth Attleboro Still Rocks music festival on Sunday, September 15, 2024.

Tim Lindsey Music Fund, which awards grants and scholarships to aspiring musicians, was established to honor Tim Lindsey, a musician and Attleboro native, who passed away in 2023. Lindsey was known for his generous spirit and willingness to provide support to anyone in need. It is to continue his philanthropic work that the Tim Lindsey Music Fund was established.

“We are so grateful to everyone who came out and supported Attleboro Still Rocks 2024,” said Cyndee Goodinson-Lindsey, the late musician’s wife and board member of Attleboro Still Rocks. “We also want to thank the bands, who donated their amazing talent and time, the staff and members of the Attleboro Portuguese American Club, who welcomed us warmly and made everything work smoothly, and all the volunteers who worked so hard and with such love. We couldn’t do this without them.”

This was the second year Attleboro Still Rocks (ASR) supported the Tim Lindsey Music Fund. Funds raised at the ASR 2023 music festival provided the initial investment to support the fund.

The Tim Lindsey Music Fund has two programs. The Tim Lindsey Scholarship Fund, which is administered by the Attleboro Scholarship Foundation, provides scholarships to students from Attleboro who are attending or have been accepted to accredited institutions of higher learning on a full-time basis. The first scholarship from the Tim Lindsey Music Fund was awarded to Victoria Plizga, who graduated Attleboro High School in 2024. The Tim Lindsey Grant Program provides financial support to musicians living in Attleboro and North Attleboro to support specific projects and purchases that advance or support their musical career or calling.
