Today’s subject is ✨ First Looks✨
If you and your fiancé are on the fence about whether you should do a first look or not, here are a few things to keep in mind!

1. Time to Yourselves
Amidst the busyness of a wedding day, it can be difficult for some to really be able to step away and take in the day together. Having a first look gives you and your partner time to decompress and talk to each other before the party gets started.

2. Time Saver
A first look gives an allotted amount of time for photographers to get the bulk of your photos completed before the actual wedding. With less photos to take, couples can get to their cocktail hour/reception sooner than expected 😍

Both choices bring beautiful moments, but at the end of the day make sure you are choosing what’s best for you!!

Not just another wedding!

When texted me her sneak peak link today I almost immediately sent it to my girls so they could put together the perfect post. Before I did, I started looking at the beautiful photos captured by . I decided not to send them to the girls until I could post.

You see, everyone talks about the picture perfect instagram, that you don’t need long narratives on posts, and to keep everything cohesive.

Well, that’s not who I am. So today (if you read this far), you get to hear about this couple, this marriage & how thankful I am to have been a part of such an important day for the Eikosts.

Once again, I had an opportunity to work with an absolutely beautiful couple. A couple who puts God first and foremost, a couple who believe in kindness to others, a couple who choose to smile in the rain, a couple who individually light up rooms and together light up the world around them.

I chose these specific photographs for this post because I believe you can feel the true love they share through every single one of them and the energy they bring into a room.

I have been in the hospitality industry for almost 22 years! I began serving tables at the age of 18, and it is what I did to make money during my time .

I have a very analytical mind and I thought I would be using that to be solving problems with my background in Mathematics. However, I found more passion for serving people.

After years in restaurant management, my career took a change when I was offered a position at in 2015. I absolutely fell in LOVE with the wedding industry & being able to serve others for their special days.

I found out quickly that working with the vendors who also have serving hearts is the way to make these beautiful days even more special.

I do my best to always do my best to not only serve the bride & groom but also the team we are working with for events.

A vendor team is always made up of unique talents & hard working individuals. Every single one brings something to the table. I find it important to value their worth, respect their ideas, and to allow them to do what they do best.

I am beyond grateful to have so many vendors that have the same philosophy.

My tips of the day for planning your own special day or someone else’s.

DO’S
✨ Always choose kindness.
✨ When choosing florists & photographers ensure their style is what you are looking for and of course they fit into your budget. They are artists and asking them to change styles is not always going to work.
✨Price out your dreams and then bring it to reality. Find out what’s most important to YOU and recognize that you may have to be SAVVY about your decisions. Sometimes that means sacrificing something you wanted to get something you want more and that’s OKAY.
✨If a vendor or item is out of your budget ask about ways you can get the cost down or for alternatives. Maybe you won’t need the full number of hours or maybe you choose a different item. Most of the event businesses are small businesses & require a lot of overhead to do what they do.
✨Respect the value of worth people have for themselves, you don’t have to agree with their prices but respect the humans behind the business.

She finds enjoyment in taking outdoor strolls and laying in the sun ☀️. Emme is from Dothan, AL and is also a senior at Auburn University studying Hospitality Event Management. she is also an avid reader who loves to delve into a book by the pool 🌸. Like all of us, they both love some retail therapy! They are both amazing workers & we’re elated for them to be involved this wedding season!

Instead of a WEDDING DAY, what about a full WEDDING week? @caroline_cole4 and Davis chose an intimate wedding in the Caribbean vs a large wedding in Alabama so they could spend quality time with their friends and family. We loved being a part of all of the events and becoming even more like family with theirs!

This cake was GORGEOUS! @caroline_cole4 ‘s sweet reaction was the icing on the cake. @thecakestudiocayman this cake blew us away yesterday. Thank you for being a big part of Caroline & Davis’s wedding day!!

I absolutely love a first look, I also absolutely love the tradition of waiting for a couple to see each other for the first time coming down the aisle. I am not saying one is better than the other, they are simply different options and both are beautiful.
