Inside Joke by Dylan Smeak (Feb. 7-Mar. 22)
Westobou is excited to present the work of our 2024 Artist-in-Resident, Dylan Smeak. His work explores the thick, sticky layers of cultural residue left by time and the haze of nostalgia evoked by objects as simple as worn stickers, old logos, and bygone technological devices.

Join us on First Friday, February 7 at 5pm for an artist talk followed by an opening reception from 6-8pm.

The Gallery will be closed today! Stay warm!

In 2024, with your help, Westobou was able to grow our membership, offer more exhibition opportunities in our galleries, and assist over 140 artists in presenting something unique for our community.

From film screenings to immersive art experiences, gallery talks and musical performances we’ve had an incredible year. As we strive to be a sustainable presence in a time of great need, we hope you consider joining us this year in supporting our upcoming March auction and fundraiser party– WestoHUE, or participating as a member in our first members postcard show!

We have a lot to look forward to, and to get there– WEstobou NEEDs YOU!

Consider a year-end gift to Westobou to help us meet our goals and continue to bring engaging exhibitions, events and performances to Augusta!

In July of 2024, we received our final promised gift from the Porter Fleming Foundation, an organization that was instrumental in the foundation and creation of Westobou. Their generous contributions have significantly helped sustain us for the last 16 years allowing us to fulfill our mission and transform into the organization we are today. Losing that funding puts Westobou’s future in jeopardy.

At this critical time, your support is more important than ever as we work towards a sustainable and lasting presence in the arts. Help us meet our year-end goal of $5,000. Every donation helps Westobou support artists and their ideas to bring unique programming to our community.
