With 20 years of experience in the Food & Beverage Industry and 9 years behind the bar, TJ has been an essential part of our team for 7 years. His infectious smile and unforgettable jokes are just a few of the things that set him apart. But what truly makes him special is his genuine passion for celebrating life’s joyful moments and making sure every guest leaves with a smile.

Today we shine a spotlight on the man, the myth, the legend behind the scenes at The Governor Hill Mansion - Tim Sounier! Whether he’s checking thermostats, moving furniture, throwing wood on the fire in Columbus Hall, or rocking a “Security” hat with basketball shorts (yes, even in 10-degree weather!), Tim does it all with a smile.
Married to our Director of Operations, Elaine, Tim is the unsung hero who keeps everything running smoothly. From taking out the trash, to painting, making quick runs for supplies, and always having the right tool for the job, Tim’s dedication and hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. Thank you, Tim for all the wisdom, the dad jokes, and for always going above and beyond to make sure The Mansion’s operations are seamless. It is with great pride and appreciation that we introduce Chef Jonathan Russell, our wonderful Executive Chef at The Governor Hill Mansion. With over 30 years experience, Chef Jon has poured his heart into every dish, crafting unforgettable meals that bring joy to everyone who experiences.
From small, intimate gatherings to large events, his passion and dedication shine through in every detail. For our largest event of the year, Chef Jon spent 15 hours prepping, ensuring every bite was perfect. A few mouthwatering creations included Prime Rib Au Jus, Crab Stuffed Mushrooms, Scallops Wrapped in Bacon, and Lobster Rangoon Puffs-each one a testament to his care and artistry. Chef Jon, thank you for the love, hard work, and incredible flavors you bring to our community. We’re so grateful for you!
