Gott Story?

Gott a Costume evolved from Gott F**t, a successful manufacturing company of active wear/sports wear/and costumes. Cherry Gott owner and founder of Gott F**t created the business in 1989. For 10 year she built Gott F**t and it became very successful with the sports and dance industry in Colorado and in the surrounding states. In 1998 a client of her’s who ran a costume shop in Aurora and also owned a dance studio solicited her financial help to survive some unfortunate circumstances, She ended up buying His costume retail shop in 1997 and merged it with her manufacturing company with a retail storefront of costumes and costume rentals Cherry was operating Gott F**t in a retail location across the street from the present location at that time and was manufacturing team sportswear, and competition dance wear for local business around Colorado. Her skills in sewing and designing in the dance and sports world gave her the foundation she needed to expand more into the theatrical side of costumes. Next came trade shows, classes, joining theatrical groups and attending lots and lots of conferences.

In 2003, Gott F**t, now doing business as Gott A Costume, expanded her one location on Hampden to two other temporary pop up stores. In fact Gott A Costume was the first mom and pop store to successfully set up and run a temporary pop up Halloween Store in Parker Colorado. In 2007 Gott A Costume had 4 temporary location during Halloween and was the first shop to offer the largest Discount and Clearance center competing with all the thrift stores with competitive pricing. Gott a Costume has continued opening up temporary Halloween stores and temporary Christmas Stores giving the big corporate stores & corporate franchises a run for their money.

In 2013 Tanner Gott joined Gott A Costume as a partner and brought with him the successful business Rent An Actor. Mother and son, now operating the business together combining their talents, hard work, and skills have helped make the business explode in popularity. In addition some very loyal employees brought with them very special talents, skills and experience in the cosplay world. As a team we have made Gott A Costume the finest shop in the state offering the best selection and expertise in the industry.
