If we are not having severe weather we are open daily. Rain after rain has left us pretty soggy. Visitors need to park on hillside and walk down to the entertainment area, you will see many exhibits some being interactive, tic tac toe, Native American artifacts, rock collection, checkers etc. on the walk down.
People fish, take photos, plan events, hike, wade in the creek, swing, see wildlife, run and play. Now and then find Turkey feathers.
Yesterday, with continued flooding, creek bank has washed out some places, one place partially revealing an antique iron wheel, work has began to retrieve it.
We have a log jam that needs to be cleaned. If there is a 4-H, shop class or any other group that might like to cut, pull and get it cleaned in trade for a party that would be great. Adult supervision and chain saw needed. It will require being waist deep in COLD water so a warm, sunny day.
SWAP MEET COMING UP ON THE 28TH, several new vendors with unusual, hand-crafted items, bakers, hopefully in the afternoon garden produce vendors. Our fee is only $10. For those that cannot do the time frame of 8:00 to 5:00 due to work demands or limited product simply talk to me and we will work that out.
Shoppers, we have some really nice bright signs, 12 of them so you should have no trouble finding us. I preach this, simply take 60 hwy. to Marionville, at light turn left onto hwy. 14, three miles out of city limits to farm rd. 2160, there WILL BE SIGNS, turn, travel two miles, turn in at red gate on left, parking to the right, if valley is wet, vendors will set up in that area also.
