Thank you to everyone who was part of our “Witches Brew” on Sunday night! Our seven tales of witchery and witchcraft were enjoyed by our great audience along with those watching and listening from offstage. Eleven years after the first “Witches Brew” at the old Vintage Theatre, this second version at the current Vintage was a wicked delight. Thank you to our actors – Anna, Maria, James, Kaity, Debbie, Linda, Ara, Emily, Joi, Bethany, and Ayden – for their portrayals of witches, witch friends, and witch victims. Thank you to directors Lorraine, Kathryn and Matt for bringing these magical stories to life, and thanks to Beth, Jeremy, John, Doug, Tyler and the ushers for adding sound and light and making the evening run smoothly. Thank you to Vintage Theatre for letting us tell our midnight tales in their home, and thank you to Witch Marcheska for casting the fishbowl-drawing spell.

We feel like doing another “Witches Brew” right away for our next show, but instead we’ll be dreaming up our show themes for the 2026 season. We’ll announce those in November and our next One Night Stand will be in February. Thank you all!

𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗪𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧
𝗝𝗲𝗳𝗳 𝗢’𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘆 is a writer, improviser, and actor living in Denver. For One Night Stand, Jeff first contributed four plays and stories to the 2020–2022 online audio shows: A Few Good Ghouls, The Wildflowers of Banff, The Bully, and The Ghost of Golden Gate Park. Since then his work has been featured onstage with Sabrina, the Beach Girls and Me; Leonard McGillicutty, Polar Explorer; The Curious Case of the Teen Detective; and Ghost Train.

𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗪𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧
𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿 is an actor/writer/graphic artist from Avon, Ohio. He is the co-runner of Cleveland Public Theatre’s writer’s workshop, The Dark Room, which helps playwrights test-drive new work. He has written over 125 short plays and has been produced throughout the US, Canada, the UK, India, and Australia. He will continue to write his nonsense until somebody stops him.

We have completed our first week of rehearsals for “Witches Brew” and we have enjoyed working on these tales of witches, powerful women, a demon or two, and a few hapless victims. We hope you can join us for these fun plays and stories on Sunday night, October 5 at Vintage Theater. From the steps of a Salem courthouse to a local occult shop, it's an evening of comedy and drama, history and a little horror (and two screams so far).
