This weekend, we’re so excited to celebrate Amy and John as they tie the knot at Loft28West!

Their love story began back in 2018 at Illinois State University, where they met through a mutual friend in Amy’s sorority. John was playing baseball, Amy was in a sorority, and little did they know, their paths were about to align forever.

Fast forward a few years, and their love has taken them on a wild, beautiful adventure. With John playing baseball professionally and Amy & their (pup) son, Ryder embracing the nomadic lifestyle, these two have truly mastered the art of doing life together.

John proposed in the most magical way—on a snowy Chicago rooftop after Amy’s birthday. Now, they’re back in the Chicago area to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by family, friends, and so much love.

16 years after meeting in 6th grade and 6 years of dating, Keely and Kevin are getting married this weekend! They share a love of exploring restaurants in Chicago, board games, and having quiet Sunday mornings in their condo. They cannot wait to start their new adventure as a married couple and are so thankful for their loved ones who have helped to make this such a special time!

Morgan & Brendan 10.12.24

Morgan and Brendan’s love story began in 2021, and after two wonderful years together, Brendan planned the perfect proposal. On July 15, 2023, he told Morgan they were going on a boat tour in Chicago, but as they walked toward the dock, a woman approached them claiming to be a new social media creator. She asked to take a few photos of them, and after a couple of shots, Brendan turned to Morgan, expressed his love, and got down on one knee, asking her to marry him!

The couple then took engagement photos at Milton Lee Park and returned home to what Morgan thought would be a quiet celebration with Brendan’s parents. Instead, Brendan had planned a surprise engagement party with their closest friends and family. Now, they’re ready to celebrate their marriage at Loft28West, and we couldn’t be more excited for them!

Nicole and Tom’s love story is one for the ages! They went to the same high school but didn’t meet until years later, starting as friends before falling in love. Nicole knew Tom was the one during his last semester away at school, and now, after 10 years together, they’re tying the knot here at Loft28West! They share a passion for golfing, Chicago sports, live music, pizza, and, of course, being the ultimate cat parents to their 4 fur babies. We are thrilled to be part of their special day!

From high school crushes to lifelong love. Marissa & Edgar are high school sweethearts that are finally tying the knot after 10 years together! Edgar proposed at the place he first asked Marissa out at, the Riverwalk in downtown Naperville. Together, they have built a life surrounded by German Shepherds, the joy of country music, and being first responders as police officer & nurse. These two can’t wait for their big day to celebrate with all they love most!

They met in the summer of 2021 over Bumble. They bonded over their love of their cats (his 2, her 1) and football (regardless of rival teams). She loves his sense of humor and he accepts her collection of candles, they’re perfect together. We can’t wait to celebrate their undeniable love today at Loft28West!

Angela & Cody 09.20.2024

Angela and Cody’s love story began long before they officially connected. Though they went to the same high school and shared mutual friends, they didn’t spend much time together back then. Years later, fate intervened when Angela reached out to their mutual friend, Mike, about New Year’s Eve plans. That night, they reunited at a small gathering at Cody’s apartment, sparking a connection that only grew stronger. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, they reconnected again at the end of 2020 and have been inseparable ever since, officially becoming a couple on February 6th, 2021.

Sharing a love for music, time spent with friends and family, hockey, and their favorite team, the Blackhawks, they’ve built a life full of joy and shared experiences. Cody proposed at one of their favorite spots, The Whale, in Logan Square. We are thrilled they chose to start their next chapter of this beautiful love story with us at Loft28West.

They truly are best friends who love spending quality time together, whether it’s going for walks, cooking, catching a baseball game, or enjoying moments with family and friends.

Hannah & Taylor 8.31.24

Three years ago on June 12th, Hannah and Taylor met on Bumble, thanks to some gentle nudges from Hannah’s sister and my mom. From that first spark, their love story blossomed into something truly beautiful.

One of their earliest memories together was a trip to Lake Geneva on their third date. Even then, Hannah knew she loved him, though she wasn’t ready to say it just yet. On the way home, their future first dance song played, a little sign of what was to come.

Taylor first told Hannah “I love you” in a park on the 4th of July in 2023, and she said it back after a friend’s birthday party, sealing the sweet beginning of their forever.

On September 30th, 2023, Taylor got down on one knee in the Rose Garden at the Botanical Gardens. His bottom lip quivered as he asked the big question, and Hannah said yes!

Here’s to Hannah and Taylor—may your journey continue to be filled with love, laughter, and all the beautiful moments you’ve already shared. 💍❤️
