JOB DESCRIPTION
Working directly with the Event Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will primarily support efforts related to the event marketing. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including communications with vendors and partners, branding, digital marketing, video, website, onsite event coordination, and social media. The candidate must be an organized multitasker, able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines, and be able to execute the following responsibilities:
•Assist with planning events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives
•Support marketing campaign planning and ex*****on
•Assist in writing copy and scheduling social media posts
•Engage on social platforms with clients and industry organizations
•Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels
•Manage regular updates to the company’s website and corresponding collateral
•Introduce creative ideas to help improve the event experience
•Help enhance processes to increase the events success
•Serve as a point of communication for clients, vendors, and other partners
•Prepare written communications for clients, vendors and other partners
•Assist with coordinating day of event activities
•Familiarity with social media and online marketing techniques
•Ability to create and execute social media and online marketing plans
•Participate in and contribute to marketing brainstorming sessions
•Analyze the event’s success, prepare reports, present to the event team
•Continue to develop your knowledge of the current and future trends in the event management industry
•Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
•Experience with event planning/production or project management is a plus
•Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus+
•Graphic design and video experience are a plus+
•Highly organized and detail-oriented
•Strong and effective communication (written and oral), negotiation skills and with the distinct ability to function effectively before a wide variety of groups and forums
•Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office and Excel
•Warm personality; engaging with a sense of humor; a positive attitude; a tireless work ethic and the ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
•A self-starter with the poise, and confidence to work on several projects simultaneously at the highest level of quality
•Highly resourceful
•Ability to handle multiple assignments and deadlines with accuracy
•Meticulous eye for detail and proactive
•Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to adapt and take direction
•Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google docs, Adobe Creative Suites experience
•Must be able to deliver results in a timely manner under all circumstances
•Strong, supportive and stable personal life and be in good health
REQUIREMENTS:
4+ years’ customer service experience
3-4 years’ experience in a marketing position
2+ years’ experience in the event planning or hospitality industry
Pay Frequency: bi-monthly
