Hey friends! We’ve got a new hazy DIPA out now in cans and on draft 🐕. Dog Catches Car boasts one of the biggest dry hop rates we have done yet, featuring a combo of Peacharine & Strata hops, coming together for ultimate peachy hop intensity. Come by this weekend and try it out!

Dog Catches Car - Hazy DIPA - 8.5%

This batch features a “DDH” treatment of some of our favorite hops from all over the world. From Crosby/Indie Hops in Oregon, we are loaded with Strata and Strata CGX (cryo) while from the Southern Hemisphere we’ve got some incredible Peacharine and Motueka from Freestyle Hops in New Zealand. All loaded into this soft and balanced DIPA at a dry hop rate way higher than we typically do. These beautiful hops coalesce together to make a melange of stone fruit forward flavors with notes of peach, tangerine, strawberry, and lime.

Our Czech style Pilsner, brewed to ultra high standards for a premium lager drinking experience. Mashed using heirloom pilsner malt that is floor malted in the Czech Republic. As always with our European style lagers, we utilize 100% natural sour wort for all mash & boil pH adjustments. Hopped early during the lauter, and throughout the boil with high quality Czech Saaz hops. Fermented super cold with our house lager yeast, low and slow. 100% natural carbonation captured during the fermentation process. Lagered in our horizontal tanks nearly 2 months. This is a full & well-rounded fresh Pilsner beer, capturing the perfect balance of soft malt richness and a crisp floral saaz hop finish that keeps you wanting that next sip. 4.7%

Folks! We are so stoked to announce the return of two staff favorite drinks around here. The first being DAIMYO, a Japanese inspired Rice Lager (now in cans!!!). As well as THE SPRITZ, a thirst quenching aperitif based seltzer cocktail. Read on for some fun details about these beverages.

DAIMYO 🍚

A premium 5% abv Japanese Rice Lager brewed with traditional methods to achieve what we feel is a looking glass into the history of Japanese Lager. We sourced some high quality polished Sake Rice, a bit of Koji fermented & dehydrated rice, and of course some of the finest Pilsner malt around. This lager first undergoes an extensive mash regiment in order to cook the rice using steam. After this stage is done we cool, mix in the Koji rice and a bit of barley, rest, then we utilize multiple step mash points with the remaining pilsner malt. Boiled with a delicate addition of Saaz and Tettnanger hops. From there we brew Lager as we typically do, slow and cold ferment throughout, naturally carbonated, and clarity is achieved without the aids of finings or filtration. Lagered 12 weeks cold. Upon the first sip you can expect notes of fresh bread, limoncello, honeysuckle, and fermented tea, with a dryness that lends itself to endless drinkability. Come by, have a couple, and then stock your fridge with this easy drinking premium lager.

THE SPRITZ 🍊

We sourced some incredible Apertivo from Antica Erboristeria Cappelletti, who first started production in 1906. Cappelletti Apertivo may be the oldest style of the classic red bitter still in production, and unlike similar products, is made with 100% natural ingredients and every single batch is blended by taste.

This is then hand mixed with our super clean 17% abv hard seltzer base, a bit of Rambler sparkling water, and garnished with an orange slice. Classic stuff here folks. Insanely refreshing.

Both of these products showcase our unwavering commitment to offer the finest liquids possible. We hope it shows and we can’t wait to have you in to enjoy some!

Ohhhhh wait a minute, did we mention Nelson on my mind is making its hazy triumphant return this Friday?

We first released this DIPA banger on 4/20/24 with a goal of celebrating the gloriousness of Nelson Hops. The plan was simple in theory… put a crazy amount of Nelson into a soft, dank, & hazy Double IPA. Easy Enough. Featuring almost 4 pounds per bbl of glorious Nelson Sauvin and a touch of their Peacharine, with 2 different Hop Kiefs (a solventless hop extract); Kohia Nelson, which is more passion fruit forward, and Maui Nelson, which is more pineapple forward, this unique blend of hops bursts with Sauv Blanc, Tropical, Stone Fruit and Juicy notes. You could say we always have Nelson on our Minds...

Spooky news friends! Our first pastry style imperial stout is releasing in CANS and on DRAFT tomorrow (Sat 10/26) at 9am here at Fast Friends Beer Co. We’ve got a ton of fun events lined up for this Halloween weekend, stay tuned for more info!

COCONILLA - Imperial Pastry Stout w/ Coconut and Vanilla - 12% ABV - $7.99 per 16oz can / $14.99 for 2x 16oz cans

COCONILLA is here just in time for Stout Season. We start with a massive and complex grain bill featuring over a dozen different caramel and roast malts, we then only pull the first runnings of this mash for maximum strength and flavor, boil for many hours until we achieve our desired concentration. We then ferment it fully, which leaves ample residual sweetness. This thick 12% stout base then got treated with 100’s of pounds of both toasted and raw coconut flakes, then racked off and conditioned on 5lbs of the finest all natural whole vanilla beans we could find; sourced from Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Madagascar.

This is a liquid candy bar y’all. Warming, sweet, and full of nostalgic dessert flavors. Vanilla is the star here with a fully supporting toasty coconut background. We can’t wait to continue exploring these big dark beers with you.

New Hazy IPA on draft today! We’ve got tons of IPAs, lagers, and some dark stuff pouring all weekend. See ya soon friends 🤝

THE HARBOR - NEW ENGLAND IPA - 6.2%

Some of the best and original examples of Hazy IPA come out of the New England area. These hop pioneers started reducing bitterness slightly, moving a ton of the hop additions to the whirlpool and dry hop to increase aroma, and fermenting with an expressive yeast of English origin. All this combined with a fairly soft water profile lent to bursts of fruitiness and soft juicy characteristics all in an “IPA” format. We swooned over these beers years ago, and it felt time to bring it back to the basics.

The Harbor begins with all Texmalt Pilsner Malt, a bit of their more robust Wildfire Pale Malt, and a restrained amount of flaked oats and malted wheat. We hopped it heavily in the end of boil & the whirlpool with Billy Goat Hop Farm Centennial, and our selected Amarillo via Crosby Hops. Both lend flavors of sweet citrus ranging from lemon to candied red grapefruit. Post fermentation we dry hopped with a heavy hand of our selected Amarillo and some real nice pineapple forward Idaho 7 via Billy Goat.

Soft, juicy, dank, fruity, welcome bitterness.
Classic.

Billy Cannon is back in town, he’s bringing the heat this time 🤠

This super fresh Hazy DIPA starts off with a grain bill of pale malt, malted oats, flaked oats, and wheat. We hop it lightly in the kettle with Freestyle Hops Southern Cross, then in a chilled whirlpool with Idaho 7. Fermented with our preferred English ale yeast. This batch was dry hopped heavily with some choice Strata, Idaho 7, Riwaka CGX, and a bit of pungent Rakau subzero hop kief. Straight up tropical OJ! Kiwi, pineapple, tangerine, lil bit of sweet lime, and just very very dank. 8% abv.

We use 100% Texas grown Pilsner Malt from our buds , hopped with Perle & Spalter from our expert hop friends over in Germany, and made with 100% Austin City water. Fermented cold, lagered long, and always unfiltered.

Come by the brewery and be an early supporter of this Texas inspired lager beer. Then go ask your local bars & markets to carry some cold cans or some fresh draft of your new favorite lager 🍺
