A charming, versatile event venue in a historical building surrounded by an antique rose garden. The most unique venue in Texas! Our location is tremendous.

From birthdays to weddings, your events bloom beautifully at Rose Haven! Event spaces and an in-house bakery in a beautiful historical building, surrounded by antique rose gardens. We are NOT a wedding venue, and won't be hosting any weddings. We are specifically designed for all the peripheral events for weddings--engagement parties, showers, and especially the difficult to find rehearsal dinners

spaces. Plus we have the perfect spaces for ALL types of events from birthdays to anniversaries, corporate meetings to family holidays, baby showers to celebrations of life, and everything in between. We want to be the dream space to host your most important life occasions. We are right outside of Southwest Austin, super easy to get to, and are a 6600 square foot freestanding building with free onsite parking. Part of our building dates back to the 1860's & it has an extremely colorful history. We are completely restoring it into a beautiful bright venue, all white inside & a gorgeous sage green outside, to compliment our antique rose gardens that will surround the grounds. We are also very flexible. If our seating/tables/etc don't fit your vision, you can bring in any you would like from a rental company. You are welcome to transform our beautiful neutral spaces any way you choose, with just a few restrictions to protect the venue, like not nailing anything to the walls or using anything that would cause damage. (We will have all that in the contract) We are a non-smoking venue & no flames/candles/etc, as it's 150 years old and a wooden building, so just too risky, but will have a smoking area outside safely away from the building. We have been the top wedding & specialty cake bakery in Austin for several years, and we have so many connections with INCREDIBLE, vetted, professional vendors, so we have a comprehensive list of preferred vendors that we can refer to you & you can choose any of them in complete confidence. We do provide a venue manager for each event, but we currently do NOT provide an event planner. We have a wonderful list of planners of all styles & price points for your needs.

We had a wonderful wildlife treat this week when a huge hawk swooped in and landed on our ceremony tree. Such a big, beautiful hawk! The hawk stayed perfectly still, only moving his head for a good 30 minutes. A blessing!

Funny story:

I had a fortuitous turn of events today. I was shopping at a thrift store called IRep, looking for some items to add to our decor closet at the venue. And they had a ton of these beautiful crystal tea light holders. I asked how much they were if I bought all of them, negotiated a bit and got a great price on them.

Then to my surprise, she leads me over to one of those free throw electronic basketball games and she said they have a promotion where you can get up to 20% off. You get one percent off for every goal you can make up to 20.

I just grinned and didn’t say anything.

The clock ran out at 24 and I was still swishing them.

Oh, by the way, I didn’t mention I was All-State and MVP in high school. 🏀🏀🏀🏆🏆🏆

From now on, I’m gonna need every store to have a basketball discount game!

And now we have beautiful tea lights for our clients to use in their table decor! Aren't you glad your venue owner is a baller? 😂😂😂

By far the biggest hit of party was the precious Churro B***o, Tippy, from Canyonwood Minis ! We filled her saddlebags with delicious churros, and she was all decked out in flowers! So freaking CUTE!!!

I had to join in the theme of our client’s 80’s themed party. I’m an 80’s baby—-born in ‘69, dude! In my authentic 1987 jacket I bought from my first job, working at The Closet, an awesome 80’s clothing store, in Georgia Square Mall, for $2.83 an hour! 😂. Back then, that could buy gas, food and badass jackets, lol. My earrings are from high school. And yeah, my big hair is still an 80’s cliche—all natural curl! This is what happens if I don’t wrestle it into submission! 🤣

Yesterday, October 13th. This was in the Hill Country. It hit 100 degrees in Austin.

If you’re planning a wedding or event for Fall and are planning on having it outside. Think again. Don’t make the mistake of romanticizing Fall and thinking it will be cooler. In New England, yes. In Central Texas, no. It’s just summer with pumpkin spice.

Have at least a backup plan so you and your guests don’t suffer heatstroke.

Not only will we be having our famous and fabulous Rose Haven Event Venue High Tea, but also silent auction, and more! Stay tuned as we are just getting started and will be adding more as we go!

A portion of each tea ticket sold, as well as proceeds from our other activities, will go directly to Sarah’s family.

There are four seating times to choose from, so that we can stagger the attendees to be able to host more guests and maximize our donations to Sarah. The ticket time is the time you should ARRIVE. You can stay and savor the tea and delicious treats as long as you’d like!

It’s a Double Disco weekend! Melissa of Events by Poppy and Co is hard at work making a funky disco greenery chandelier! The Antique Rose Veranda garden. I personally hauled in all the soil with a wheelbarrow, amended the soil, planted every single rose (& other plants), and babied them through last summer's absolutely brutal heat and drought with my own two hands. We had a few casualties but overall everything has thrived. There's a saying in rose gardening: "First year, sleep. Second year, creep. Third year, leap!"
